Sadtu calls for strong action against those selling teaching posts

- A woman in the North West, who was allegedly promised a job for cash, has found herself having to consistently pay the principal at a primary school in Coligny.
She says her desperation for employment has incurred her losses of at least R13 000.
SADTU in the province says those selling teaching posts need to be brought to book.

Education in this country is poor because of sadtu They control everything when it comes to employing teachers. This responsibility must be removed from the schools.

People must follow up this corruption and see to it that this principal is punished together with everyone involved in this rot. With such high level of unemployment some people are so ruthless despite them earning a salary. Shameless souls.
These days even qualifications are sold and who knows if some of the teachers are indeed qualified to teach learners in schools.
The previous minister Angie has been sitting on a report which was conducted many years ago, she was threatened by members of SADTU not to reveal it to the public. She kept it under wraps. We need that report to be revealed to the public. ANC cadre deployment, enough is enough.
Please assist my wife who is a food handler at a primary school called Selborne Primary. My wife"s problem started when she began to associate with a lady who knows the principal's secrets. My wife is a food handler at the school and soon after seeing her with this lady she was told to wait outside the school as our daughter is a learner in this school. My wife asked for a policy which states what the principal or the school is saying. She failed to provide the policy and responded by conducting a disciplinary hearing. My wife went to the district office to report this matter and the district told my wife that there is no such policy. The principal went ahead and terminated the contract without involving the district officials as stated in the contract. Is it possible that when you work in a kitchen and as soon as you are done with your duties then you sit under the shade for an hour far from classes without disturbing anything that has to do with learning and then you are told to go outside the school premises? Now what is buffling is that someone is waiting for her child like my wife and is not told this nonsense. Please South Africa help my wife fight this principal. Anyone who can bring this matter faster to the Minister please do so.
Is there anything not for sale in South Africa, this is sad and disgusting… surely such corruption should be a criminal offence☹️.

Whatever happened to this teacher, it is happening throughout the country. The department of basic education needs to come up with a new strategy of employing teachers because the one that they are currently using is rotten to the core. They are hiding posts and if it happens that they advertise posts, they say you must submit your application to schools where there are posts. Now, if there are ten schools that you qualify to teach such subject, you will have to go to all such schools and at the same time you will find that those schools are distant from each other.
I’ve always said that they need an HR department, teachers aren’t supposed to hire other teachers.
