It needs a lot of threads, 22 cords (35-40cm) for making body and 12 cords for making legs and claws.

Yes, it is 1mm cord
I buy nylon cords from local shops because online is so expensive. If pot, please use polyester waxed thread 1mm for this, you can find it on online or in thread shops near your place.
