He’s always confident - it’s always well thought out I mean to make a series of videos with quotes and references it should be a logical train of thought - unfortunately a lot of GOT youtubers lack this logic so PJ is always refreshing -?where the f is WOW?!?
It all sounds rather logical but even if he wasn't 110% confident about it, presenting with confidence make it sound a lot more real and makes it a lot more enjoyable to listen to. It's not a secret that preston knows a lot about GRRM work in general so not just asoiaf so he is one of the best to make theory videos about the series
Jon's dream of being lord of Winterfell as he chops off Robb's head makes me believe that he is meant to stay at the Wall, just as Ghost snitched on him so his friends would find him when he left before. When he wakes up the raven is pissed at him, and glares "balefully" in the "predawn gloom". Basically, Jon must stay at the Wall, because he is needed for the coming battle for the Dawn.
I'm very late for the party but I don't think Ghost is harrassing Gilly, in fact he put down a dead rabbit in front of her. He is actually giving her food.
I don't think Sam losing time is all that strange. It's established pretty early on after his introduction that Sam has a tendency to disassociate during traumatic events or even when recounting said events. We first see this when Same is explaining to Jon how he ended up on the Wall and his father's abuse.
Just realized that Bloodraven and Oden are rather similar. Oden have ravens and wolves that are more or less extensions of himself. Oden became all-knowing by sacrificing himself... by dying in a tree. Also, Oden often influences events while in some "disguise" - a disguise that is rather obvious to the reader, but somehow not to the characters in the story. Honestly, I think this mostly coincidental because the is tons of aspects of Oden that does not apply to Bloodraven, but perhaps this was interesting enough to share anyway.
Man that was actually really interesting - hell yeah thanks for sharing!! Fenrir / Odin and all that is just badass... and Bloodraven has one eye as well... UGH you’re awesome dude!!
@Festina_Lente A very understandable suspicion. It is hard to know if you have read something similar before and just forgot where the idea came from, but I think I made the connection myself. I am not familiar with that channel.
That Chett's quote about Jon! "He is the bastard of Winterfell, brother of (Kings)! In plural! ( Robb and Bran!) GRRM telling us something right there.
The mutiny at Craster's was not planned, the Brothers that were already rebellious were broken by the march and saw a chance to gorge themselves. The themes in the mutiny were beautifully expressed in Septon Meribald's speech. Not everything has to be a grand plan, Chet was just stupid, the mutineers were hungry and angry, Sam was just in shock. I really admire the tremendous effort that it must take to piece all of this together but you're imposing your own morality and logic the the actions of people that are not necessarily good or logical and that have a completely different set of values to our modern comprehension. That's not exclusive to you, it's the most common mistake that I see in the majority of ASOIAF theorists. I hope I don't come off as aggressive as I think. You obviously love this series as much as I do and I really like your videos.
I expect resurrectedJon will be both Beric and Coldhands since it is his symbolic allegiance to both fire and ice that makes him mystically significant.
I rather like Sam...I just hadn't considered how much he has been "used" by this mysterious Puppet Master...definately worth considering further. I love these videos, gives me so much to think about.
I absolutely love this sort of stuff! I've read the book series at least three times now, and never did I make the connection that the mutineers at craster's keep were also involved with Chet's mutiny. Love it!
Craster’s wives talking as one is a pretty big clue I think. Someone probably tried to possess one of them but they’re so similar that they accidentally got both of them, though not Gilly. She’s younger. They are probably a mirror of the others being hive-minded.
One aspect of the video stands out...no spiel with an awkward transition, telling us that a VPN will help protect our thoughts from interception, or a password manager will help us not forget. Becoming rarer.
Awesome start to ma sundi mornin! I've watched every one of the in depth/analysis videos at least 6 times lol. Would love to see a "Prepping for House of the Dragon" series or a closer look at The Dance of The Dargons. Love your content Preston!

I see a new Preston Jacobs video, I don't click instantly. I go get my tinfoil hat and nice glass of pure rainwater to sip. Then I click, lean back and watch the video.
The Great Ranging as a whole makes no sense. The aged LC thinks it’s a good idea to take his most effective warriors out from behind their only protection, and head out into extremely dangerous territory to face a giant host whose whereabouts, number, and dispositions are a mystery. When contact is finally made, the NW scouts observing said host all start committing suicide, while the LC gives serious consideration to sending his tiny, dwindling column against at least 50,000 wildlings. Whoever is engineering this shit is NOT messing around. All the targets of the mind-control are dead or soon to be.
Finally a new part and finally closing in on the end of NW series. PJ, what's next in theory videos for us? Can you at least give us a hint next video?
Preston I was really expeting you to talk about cannibalism in this episode. You have many theories about how eating human meat might have some relation to mind powers. This is curious because the mutiners might have eaten human flesh. While they are in craster keep they burn the body of a dead brother, and everyone talks about how the smells is delicious, and how Sam would make a fine meal with all tthat fat. In this video you talked about how the bird might have been making then hungry, what if the objetive was to make them eat human meat (there would be oportunity for sure) and thus awakening their minds to ah.. well... mind rape by some entity
Something I don't like about all these mind control theories is that I kind of feel like they deprive the characters of agency, which makes them less interesting from a literary perspective. If everything is all part of the master plan of a character we aren't even introduced to until the series is over halfway over, it cheapens everything that happens. If 95% of all the main characters are just pawns, those characters become much less interesting. If Jon's befriending and protecting of Samwell Tarly was all the doing of Bloodraven or something, then it tells us much less about Jon's character, while making the relationship between them much less meaningful. It might make *sense*, but it doesn't make for a very interesting *story*. Especially when it doesn't seem like *anything* goes against the plans of this character - everything always goes according to Bloodraven's plan, according to your theory. It's honestly why I hate whenever these theories start talking too much about prophecy - it's boring! Even rereading the books, its still hard not to feel invested in Robb's story up until the Red Wedding, even though you know that he is completely and utterly doomed. Even though you know what's going to happen, you can't help but *feel* like things could happen differently, because you know that while in reality, the actions of the characters are predetermined, in the world of the story they do still have agency, and so you know that there is a world in which things happen differently. But prophecies and grand mind control conspiracies take this away - there's only one possible progression of events.
The NW is allegedly sanctioning Craster's human sacrifice to the Others. Why then, do they seem to react very skeptically/uninterested when signs of the Others finally returning start surfacing?
If Bloodraven dies I imagine that everyone in the world will just freeze in place and never move or speak again without him to manipulate their every step.
After multiple hours of meticulous theory crafting, line by line analysis, crediting Martins other works to substantiate the logic presented, we come to the conclusion that Sam the fucking Slayer on behalf of humanity broke the peace treaty when he killed the other. Sam declared war on the others. Actually it was time traveling Bran but Sam fired the first shot. Chefs kiss.
Hey Preston, I'm asking u AGAIN about doing something like prepping for winter but start with AGOT Prologue, till end of ADWD.(still lot of time to TWOW) Who's with me?
Its been a very long time since I read the encounter between Jon, Gilly and Ghost. But my thought for Ghost harassing Gilly, was that it happened because Ghost was taking rabbits that Gilly had just butchered.
It sounds like Preston is fairly confident that he is not wrong about half of this.
more likely hes wrong about all of it lol
Dunno... he sounds right to me. Have you read the books?
He’s always confident - it’s always well thought out I mean to make a series of videos with quotes and references it should be a logical train of thought - unfortunately a lot of GOT youtubers lack this logic so PJ is always refreshing -?where the f is WOW?!?

Note how Preston uses plural words at the end of a video, "We" as if......he is being controlled by another force.
Another Puppet master.....
*Mind blown*
I think he want shared responsibility with us in case he's wrong
There's obviously something going there... 🤔
The raven saying “corn” is actually the raven saying “qhorin”
it definitely rings of that... Bloodravens masterplan has been intricate, very intricate. But he con't fool Preston.
That is an interesting idea
Jon's dream of being lord of Winterfell as he chops off Robb's head makes me believe that he is meant to stay at the Wall, just as Ghost snitched on him so his friends would find him when he left before. When he wakes up the raven is pissed at him, and glares "balefully" in the "predawn gloom". Basically, Jon must stay at the Wall, because he is needed for the coming battle for the Dawn.
The Long Night of the show has finally passed, now we dream of spring with new theory videos.
I'm very late for the party but I don't think Ghost is harrassing Gilly, in fact he put down a dead rabbit in front of her. He is actually giving her food.
It’s kinda telling that Preston gives Small Paul and Chad Summerchild the same voice. Ford planned it all?
I knew it! No joke, I woke up this morning and thought to myself “Today would be the perfect day for a new Preston video.”

We first see this when Same is explaining to Jon how he ended up on the Wall and his father's abuse.
I wonder if Mormont said something someone didn't want Sam to remember. We'll never know without Bran. Still interesting to ponder.
That BBQ horse is some major production value.^^

Hi, I'm from the future and your fears were unfounded
Just realized that Bloodraven and Oden are rather similar. Oden have ravens and wolves that are more or less extensions of himself. I mean, yeah. He's very obviously Oden. That's clearly where the inspiration came from.
That Chett's quote about Jon! "He is the bastard of Winterfell, brother of (Kings)! In plural! ( Robb and Bran!) GRRM telling us something right there.
He actually said that because Chet figured out that R + L = J and means Robb and Aegon as the two kings.
If that is the true ending to the books sansa is also a queen, GRRM forgot to tell us that?
Sounds more like he was trying to be a dick to Jon to me. The "s" makes the dig sound more sarcastic to everyone around them
