This shit is so much fun. You open a random lion's head on Goblin Caves and boom, Epic Bardiche for my Barb friend, and it happened to be kinda BIS too. I love going in as an average player and still getting some genuinely good loot, with even better rewards on lower levels. So far I am LOVIN' sdf's vision of the game, which I presume he took a step towards with this hotfix, as he said he would in his manifesto.

The thing with HR is that there have been a lot of seemingly smaller changes that had a huge positive impact on how frustrating it is to play HR: - The Goblin Merchant now returns ALL gear that hasn't been looted by other players back to you and at an incredibly cheap price too - The entry fee is now really low, even on Demigod it's merely 125 - Thanks to another recent update, treasure, regular mob kills, and opening chests now reward AP again, this way I got just under 1000 AP on a run where I filled my inventory with full treasure (rare to legendary) and otherwise just played the game as I normally would, no boss kills or anything - Teaming is prohibited in HR now which probably makes for a better experience - The increased loot is EVEN better in HR. I broke one of those praying skeletons on the ground, and it randomly dropped me a legedary crystal ball, absolutely nuts. I only had 50 Luck too - Because you can get so much decent gear in just a single normals run, you could simply do 1 normals run and use the gear you got there to finance the 225 GS requirement for HR, without spending a single penny on gear or using your stashed gear It's still nerve wrecking, but that might be a good thing. So far this update has truly reinvigorated my will to play
@@Antoan_J Yeaaah this is why I only play sub 25s and sub 125s in normals, beyond that is the danger zone for big guys who want to test their 10K kits in PvP
@dexter7120 dang that is good drops for norm bosses. I had time to play 1x high roller. Got like 5 legendary items. Crap rolls but still. 5x legendary items in one game. Not bad.
Exactly, what Dark and Darker missing is a good PvP rank matching system.. For me, as for casual pvp gamer - impossible to beat dudes who are PvP beasts, the gear doesn't matter, they will beat my ass anyway.

Update for terrible people to try good gear before they destroy it is what it is. If they make gear not that special then it not as bad when they ruin it
The problem now is... what is the point of playing in RH? Now playing on normal I get legendaries from both mobs and players. I would put for people to play HR, that in normal max you can use blue gear.
Better drop rates? Gold chest spawns? Uniques? No one is gonna play dark and darker when it’s impossible to play the other half of the game because it’s locked behind grinding the other half of the game, FOR A OPPORTUNITY TO MAYBE PLAY GEARED FOR 3 raids before you are bankrupt again
No it didn't save the game. Sdf still has butter fingers and fumbles this game with 4 L patches back to back. If they don't push something goof in December I think there will be some permanent player loss for the new year

@@Isaax Yup, when i started play DaD i had it same… logged in at 130+- gs and got fucked up by full lege rondel fighter 600gs. Within 30sec of game 😂🫡

I used to but after 1300 hours it kind of just feels like most combat is a stat check a lot of the time

Try hitting boss pile lol, I finished the 4 royal gems quest and the royal dagger in 1 day of norms.

it looks like luck makes quality of loot worse now, i was running 250 luck and was getting whites and greens, and with 0 luck often blues and purples

Luck does help but you need very high luck stat for it to make a notable difference , we talking 500
the hard cap for luck is somewhere beetween 300 and 350. going 500 is a waste
