I wanna be mad at Riky, but then again I've never walked a mile in his shoes. It's so hard typing RIP to this Legend man, it doesn't make sense😭❤️. Thank you podcast and chill for blissful Mondays and Thursdays man.

It’s difficult when you suffer from depression, I suffer from a disease that cause me pain most of the time plus cancer it can be hectic. Sometimes, I don’t want to exist no more and would ask my family to be around me for that moment of pain and when I look at my son who’s father is no more I come back feeling bad that I thought about ending it. You can’t be mad with Riky.

Well said. It's normally people who have not gone through severe. Depression that view it as selfish. Imagine preparing a rope to hang yourself? Well done on how you handled the depression issue guys, I like how Ghostlady answered Mac’s question about how whether a person who commits suicide while having kids is selfish. Also, well done on calling professionals on this issue, it was very insightful!

So many of us suffer from the same pain Ricky faced but some are still in control over who we have around us or having the purpose to live as a reminder not to act on those voices. I'll be turning 42years and don't know how I even reached this age after so many attempts. We have all planned out but I guess the trigger of the final day becomes overwhelming. I do pray for his spirit to live in harmony and may God and his ancestors to welcome him rather than to disown him as he had tried to stay alive. No one with so much he had in this life can choose to leave behind if it wasn't a trauma for him. May his family find peace after they read the suicidal letter and know even if it looked like he was a coward but he had been brave to spend his life with them for so long that it was his time. He shall be a good angel over their lives. 🙏

Personally, I think we do have a few gems from that era, we were raised in a world where it's very hard to see yourself let alone know yourself. There are so many reasons for this too. I really hope these gems are strong enough because the world we were raised in (integration of race & class, western media, parents who want to live up to whiteness so they don't pass on vital traditional information or language or culture). It's tough but we have to be hopeful.
Hi listening to the ladies talking about this depression is actually teaching myself a lot cause I am a black young boy whose taught himself to just accept how my life is difficult and just move on with life only cause I lost dad when I was still young higher education level and never had no one to run to cause mom also was away from my life at young age I literally grew up with my grandma from my dad whom I took all my life living to make sure she's okay cause of her giving me a chance to be strong young black boy whom really was depressed and choose to stay positive and I am today still depressed probably cause I lost my mom to suicide last year January and lost my sister cuzn who was short and killed while doing her laundry still not knowing who murdered her 🙄 anyway all I'm saying is young black dude and old black dudes and all the male dudes white or black stay strong and let's soldier on and be open Gents
This has to be my favorite podcast of them all.❤ thank you for bringing the ladies on the show and educating us about the sickness that's taking most of our loved ones.
One of the most heartfelt podcast a've listened to. I admire the way you guys spoke about Ricky Rick and his death. Nothing warms my heart than hearing people speaking about mental issues with so much respect and acknowledging that you will never know how to react to depression unless you are in it. Suicide is not a one day decision but its has a persistent voice that swallows you even if there are good things happening around you. Depression is a war, I've been fighting in this war for about 13 years and everyday that I wake up alive, I feel like I've won a fight but the war is still ongoing. When I read him saying the voices were too much, I knew exactly what he was talking about. They make death look so desirable, they make it look like peace and beauty. Everyday you have to fight those thoughts, somedays it's easier and then there are days when they come full force, that's when I don't even want to get out of bed. You will have the devil whispering in your mind "Look how sad you are, you have become a burden to your family, no one understands your pain, there are so many ways to do it and it doesn't hurt. How about you take the pills, you just sleep and never wake up, how about the rope, you don't have to hang it on the ceiling, the door handle and the burglar guards can do just as good. It will only take a few minutes... They are better off without you " I'm holding on by a thread and I don't want to lie, but seeing how people are doing it is kind of like selling it to me too, that maybe, just maybe I can do it. The only thing that is stopping me is my son and how I do not want him to be the one who finds me. I haven't reached that level where I think he will be fine without me.
I soak you in the blood of Jesus Christ I cast out the spirit of death in Jesus name. The Lord almighty is the only answer voices in your head is another power and spirit the power of God is the one who can give you power over these voices.A power of every other power.TRY GOD YOLL.
This is painful to hear and more over when you don't know how to help....I pray for God to continue to give the strength to fight and you can always draw from that place that lets you live and see the light🕯
I think it would be very beneficial if these ladies or even different pychologists/psychatriasts could be invited for talks even if it's once a month... Dankie for this team P&C🤝🏿
Thank you team for this episode. Thank you for speaking kindly about Ricky Rick. Thank you for bringing two beautiful, knowledgeable experts so that we can know more about mental illness and taking care of ourselves. Proud chiller over here..
The ladies hit the nail in the head, you know I have been feeling like shit for the past few weeks. Yes, I have thought of suicide but I honestly don't have the balls to go ahead with it. I always have this notion that, I'll always bounce back. Listen to them and you guys maketh me think and realize that this is only a phase that'll will be soon pass. As men we go through a lot, and most of us are slowly perishing inside. There's so much pressure put on us, and sometimes we are not even considered as human.
Let's all agree that Sol brought some flavor to this podcast, we love you so much bro, keep the love and puns flowing... Much love from your Zimbabwean brother based in Namibia
I absolutely loved the part where the ladies taught us about mental illness and depression. That was so informative🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. The ladies are so well spoken and educated😅 Mac g must give them a weekly platform on podcast and chill.. there’s a lot to teach unpack and teach about mental illnesses.❤️🥺
This episode was so important. Thank you for bringing in those specialists. When I first went to see a psychiatrist she asked me about my family’s history with depression and if my mom was depressed during or after her pregnancy with me. This is not a common family subject.
Thank you so much for the mental health conversation at the end of the episode, I have decided I am going to start a “mental health check in” date in my relationship once a week so that bae and I can sort of talk about our feelings, cry if we have to and discuss how we will help each other deal with certain things at least once a week
I remember a time you guys asked us to drop the country we watching from . Let me just say your Chiller in Ukraine 🇺🇦 is safe and finally can catch up here 😭 I’m not okay though.
I fully understand and don't judge Ricky's decision. Living with intrusive suicidal thoughts is soul draining, having to keep quiet while you are drowning behind a fake laugh and smile is daily bread for so many. Sometimes you even feel embarrassed to ask for help nor to share what's going on inside of you. Money or any success gains doesn't cure depression, it just soothes it for a very short period of time. Whoever is hurting out there " Keep Going." If you feel like you have no sense of purpose, you actually do, unlock that self-healing, Go through the emotions, Never suppress YOU no matter how much people in your life have made you feel like you are too much. They don't matter, What matters is you heart, body, mind and soul. Forgive for yourself and release everything with nothing but LOVE. Take Care 🧡❤
Hai Bafethu u guys are the best - we really needed this talk as a country after this heavy week, PODCAST N CHILL WITH MacG is what south african youth need right now, im learning alot from this PODCAST and these ladies today they made it clear BIG UP to this PODCAST man, keep rocking and Sol i love you so much man u my best i also skomord laying sideways 😃😃😃
Can you bring these 2 ladies once a month just so we unpack this crazy world, this is helping, I a young man and I have a 6 year old child and this is showing a new room
Ricky's death hit me so hard, I saw the man perform on the 27th or 28th of December 2021. He did a toast to 2022 speaking positive things unto it, pouring Remy into the crowds glasses. VSOP was playing in the background the DJ let the Beat drop on Mpura's verse... What A Moment!! 🕊️🕊️ #RIPRikyRick
Today was just heavy on my spirit but this episode some how changed my mood 🙌🏾 we all go through a lot and have no release mechanism but it's shows like these that help you understand that you're not the only one going through alot and don't beat yourself up too much just be brave enough to seek help, you're not weak nor a coward to open up about your struggles. You guys are champions
This podcast has been very insightful. It’s hard dealing with certain emotions and accepting circumstances that we normally find our selves in. Dealing with anxiety and panic attacks due to stress related situations is just crazy. I really appreciate the Guest on the podcast. Thank you ladies ❤️❤️.

Spirit of suicidal *
This is painful to hear and more over when you don't know how to help....I pray for God to continue to give the strength to fight and you can always draw from that place that lets you live and see the light🕯
I know Mac G and the crew are gonna honour him profoundly and diplomatically in this episode. RIP Riky Rick❤️🕊
I think it would be very beneficial if these ladies or even different pychologists/psychatriasts could be invited for talks even if it's once a month... Dankie for this team P&C🤝🏿
I like that
This Episode Is Gonna Hit A Million... We Waited For This!!!!
Limpopo podcast is next🙌🔥
The podcast is in it self a therapy session you guys rock love from Zim!
I don't like ads but for the sake of the podcast I watch till the end.
Thank you team for this episode. Thank you for speaking kindly about Ricky Rick. Thank you for bringing two beautiful, knowledgeable experts so that we can know more about mental illness and taking care of ourselves. Proud chiller over here..
Never a blue Monday with this crew, thanks guys 🙏🙏🙏
The ladies were very insightful, great move bringing them on the show.
❤
Let's all agree that Sol brought some flavor to this podcast, we love you so much bro, keep the love and puns flowing... Much love from your Zimbabwean brother based in Namibia
🇳🇦
I absolutely loved the part where the ladies taught us about mental illness and depression. That was so informative🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. The ladies are so well spoken and educated😅 Mac g must give them a weekly platform on podcast and chill.. there’s a lot to teach unpack and teach about mental illnesses.❤️🥺
Depression is the reason why some people go for traditional initiation (ukuthwasa). It really helps with the constant pain and voices in your head.
Had a former boss who told me she is currently twasing bcoz of mental health challenges
The game will never be the same🤞🏾 Rest Easy Ricky❤️ Peace Magents❤️🌍
This episode was so important. Thank you for bringing in those specialists. When I first went to see a psychiatrist she asked me about my family’s history with depression and if my mom was depressed during or after her pregnancy with me. This is not a common family subject.
This podcast is everything to live for 😹 🔥 RIP Makhado 🕊
Riky rick was a good person spreading so much love, mmmm is painful that he is no more, love u big bro goodnight sleep king💔💔🥺
Thank you so much for the mental health conversation at the end of the episode, I have decided I am going to start a “mental health check in” date in my relationship once a week so that bae and I can sort of talk about our feelings, cry if we have to and discuss how we will help each other deal with certain things at least once a week
I think Sol is the most honest dude out there man! 😂
I remember a time you guys asked us to drop the country we watching from . Let me just say your Chiller in Ukraine 🇺🇦 is safe and finally can catch up here 😭 I’m not okay though.
Be strong💪
Stay safe mntase ❤
Love the expert segment and seeing these young, beautiful and knowledgeable ladies doing their things. Lovely show all round🥰

I really enjoyed the mental discussion with Mpumi and Boitumelo. ❤🙏🏾
Hardly 10 minutes in, I'm already in stitches😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️

“Russia is Kanye West,Ukraine is Kim Kardashian and all those other countries are Pete Davidson”-MacG 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The feeling of pride on his face after that analogy🤣😂
"Pete Davidson is packing..."😂😂😂
Thank you mister for bringing us professionals. By listening to your potcast I've learned lot of things about psychological circulation
