That's why I left the audio running, even though the screen had froze - while spinning, you'll hear a sound, the mermaid swims by, the bell rings and that's it - you win it randomly. The other way to win it is when you spin at the start of a bonus.
@ShinobiSlots thats cool we're at casino del sol in Arizona we were just playing that game and pirates riches...I've had the other bonuses numerous times but I've never seen it randomly triggered by the mermaid swimming by
