    Well said! I was almost ran over twice by another Piquet driver, and my kids were punted during open practice by him. When i asked him to slow down in pits they turned their backs and didnt even acknowledge me. Maybe they will listen if we share with each other.

    I said it once and Ill say it again. The demand for racing in Europe is WAAAAY bigger than here in the states.The sense of Elitism is massive, especially in senior. In senior, a lot of the drivers that come over to race in the states are competing at one of the top levels of karting maybe even have a career in race cars and just come here for fun...FOR FUN! A perfect example is Joe Turney and how he came to race in the U.S. for the first time (at least that I know of) at the SKUSA winter series and won the championship AND HES NEVER DRIVEN AT HOMESTEAD IN HIS LIFE BEFORE. What about Evan Giltaire, He raced at Supernats and won. and btw hes 16 and from France and beat one of the best drivers here (Ryan Norberg) These guys are absolutely going to feel entitled because driving an OK at the highest level and going down to an X30 is just for laughs for these guys.

      They have much more support. And the FIA has ran a much better program for 30 years now. Its not surprising that they are, on average, in a better class. The US still has heavy hitting drivers, but the support is rarely there and there's a tremendous lack of ladder/stepping stone opportunity. Its night and day, but the US seems to be catching up.
      In just 20 years the US has had IKF, WKA, Stars, Skusa, and now USPKS.. there's never been a nationwide solid platform with few set classes. The CIK FIA's program, conversely, has been a solid and dependable and highly supported platform for decades.
      This is an overwhelming disadvantage for young drivers in the US. Regardless of talent or drive.

    Well said. Racing in Utah, I was also put off in the same hairpin (which is quite easy to hold the outside in KZ) by the same driver, which seemed needlessly aggressive at the time. But after watching this other footage it shows that it was deliberate, and clearly out of spite due to not running up front. Very disappointing, and I believe it shows the drivers true character.

    Definitely appreciate the commentary and agree with the analysis. I would have been interested to hear more from the guests, rather than the host taking 75% of the video time. Just my $.02.

    There was several hard swerve runoffs. Sad to see. Maybe the Utah altitude?

      The track definitely makes it easy to hold the outside with banked corners, so you end up with an argument for space on corner exit more often than not,
      The draft on the straights also keeps the field together.
      It definitely produces more close quarters racing than a Trackhouse Motorplex or New Castle, similar to that of Speedsportz in Houston I would say.

    Race Results show no on-track penalties for the Rd. 3 X30 race? No wonder these guys think they can get away with this kind of stuff. They do.

    Thats just how they race. There is much more contact in europe. But, guy on the outside is not obligated to move, inside shouldn't expect to squeeze him. Kinda dumb. Definitely not something that should happen in a top level class. Embarrassing actually.
    I wouldn't have moved at all and would definitely have repaid the favor.

    American drivers throw it down the inside being the second driver all the time. Don't do that

      @KartChaser  Рік тому

      Yes, but no one stood out as much of a sore thumb as Senna did with consistency of doing it. If he wasn’t leading, he was involved in some kind of contact.

      That's true. First time over here as well right?

    • @KartChaser
      @KartChaser  Рік тому +1

      @@joshuafisher4160 yeah. First time here for him.
      And that was the comparison - Turney’s first race here was Homestead Miami and he was crystal clean. Hodgson came over and has been clean.
      We’ve got good talent here. Some outsiders when they come in respect it, and some don’t. Just a shame to see lack of respect coming from a driver the caliber of Senna and knowing he’s the face of SODI Kart.

      @@KartChaser Well theres also bad behavior from the other side. I just think back to when turney got destryed in orlando for no reason.
      and for senna, his also here in europe often involved in chaos and seems to be bit hot headed. i just remember him running his teammate denner off the track at lonato last year.

    • @KartChaser
      @KartChaser  Рік тому +1

      @@domenic.duenner fair point. The american drivers aren't scot-free either. Fletcher got overzealous there and cleaned out Turney and others.
      We've called those guys out too when it's happened -- but Senna definitely overshadowed everyone with poor standards last weekend.
