Thank you. I uninstalled Handbrake and the other versions of .NET i installed trying to get it to work. Copied your link and installed the SDK and then installed Handbrake. Worked perfect.

it worked... if you have previously installed handbrake or .net you must uninstall both programs in control panel the reinstal handbrake then the .net file from the link. then reopen hand brake. That worked for me

THANK YOU - Been dicking around with this on my Windows 10, now Windows 11 Computer for Months. By the way, there apparently is a .Net 7.0 as well as the .Net 6.0, Handbrake wants the 6.0 version as of Jan 8, 2023

At first this didn't work for me. Then I realized that I had the .NET Framework 3.5 installed from the Add/Remove Programs - "Turn Windows features on or off" section. I removed that as well and rebooted and then handbrake was able to launch.

my problem is that i did not install the windows desktop runtime "windowsdesktop-runtime-6.0.4-win-x64". instead i incorrectly downloaded "dotnet-runtime-6.0.8-win-x64" which caused problems. so get the desktop runtime for .net 6.

Yeah I have the same issue... Had this problem last year, so installed an older version and all of a sudden today somehow handbrake was erased from my computer so I install the newest version today only to be met with the same issue. Installed .net 6.0 and same issue. Even restarted and nothing has changed.
