This is true real reggae music. Passion in it, soul in it. Jamaica in it, beautiful black women in it. Everyone appreciate this music. Even a white male such as myself. 🙌🏼
Don't need to know your white, music is for all, just enjoy🙂
Hard to tell if you actually like the song or if you are just trying to make yourself sound like a such a great guy because you like a song made by a black guy. When it comes to the internet nothing in the real world matters. Gay, asian, Muslim, female, what does it matter where all just here riding the waves of the internet enjoying what it has to offer without a care in the world. Just enjoy life, the song, and the internet.
And they say we Blacks make everything a Race issue smh.
@@blessed6252 There's nothing wrong with sharing his experience as a white man.
This is beautiful. The spirituality in reggae is unsurpassed.
I had to regulate a few fools who said Ini Kamoze was a one hit wonder. I took it personally. Ini is one of my favorite reggae artists next to Wailing Souls.
@Sheels1976, did those 'fools' forget about Ini Kamoze "Here Comes The Hotstepper"?

I will forever love this song
Everyone thinking "Welcome to Jackrock" says "murda" but it's actually "merther" which just means the sensation of getting high from marihuana while listening to Reggae.
Where do you get that from? Nothing goes like that. Murder is just used as a slang to describe something awesome. It’s like if I were to say this song is is nice and the bass line is murder.
@@Its_I_Ziggyman he says merther bruv
@@fatking4302 and ‘merther’ simpy means ‘murder’. There’s nothing else to it other than him choosing to call the word that way

The vocals are godly! Such a simple instrumental but that melody rings 💯
Slightly faster than the OG vinyl. Ini is a reggae, and dancehall, and hip-hop legend.
Wonderful stuff, Ini's voice is heaven. Reminds me of Hackney in the 80s -- life was so chilled compared to now ... muchos gracias
Inmortal song im listening the best reggae in canarias islands with my joint of course ⬆️⬆️⬆️🏝🌿
I remember I went to a jah tubbys session back in the 80s and he dropped this tune,oh my gosh the bass line was unbelievable!! the whole place was shaking!! some people couldn't handle the bass and had to walk out!
Soulful, real, no tricks to sound good. You can't fake real talent.

I buy alot of records still to this day, of course I have alot of great old roots reagge album like Lacksey Castell, Israel Vibration, Don Carlos and Junior Reid.
But the one album I always come back to and probably keep highest is the "Ini Kamose" album. I love the bassline on this track and "wings with me", and "hail mi idrin" is great! Top artist and top album!
this song sounds like it could have been made in 2019, crazy how timless this song is.
ini kamoze is stupidly underated!!!
One of the most unrated reggae superstar of all time and very much misunderstood by the industry. How many Jamaican artists Chris Blackwell robbed in broad day light.

Out in the streets they call it merther, when riddims spacing out your head, world a reggae music on yah-eh, keep me rockin with me daughter eh-a..
murder
+ej20na
Merther was Jamaican slang that described getting tripped out on dub rhythms while baked. It isn't "murder".
No, it wasn't. You just read that "fact" on the internet somewhere and you're repeating it.
@hultonclient Jack Warner's right. They called it merther; being high and trippin' out on riddims.
@jimmyred1978 "Merther" does not exist as a word. Where are you getting that from? Are you just believing a definition on Urban Dictionary that someone stuck there, and which people copy and paste elsewhere? Or have you actually heard someone in Jamaican culture use this word rather than the perfectly normally understood word, MURDER?
Have been looking for this song for a year , and try to mimic on Shazam but couldn't find and try to write on UA-cam, world ragge music yaana ehe eh and get different results , I was pissied off and today I got it , it just came to me and am high ofc ..

Welcome to Jamrock samples this. But instead of _
-MURDER- Ini Kamoze says its *_"out in the streets they call it MERTHER when riddim spacin out you head"_* Heres the definition of *MERTHER* : West Indian. *Denotes the sensations produced by smoking marijuana while listening to dub reggae.* The merging and distortion of sense impressions that occurs during cannibonoid trance. Example. _"Sound system make pure merther tonight."_

Big tune!!! How can someone dislike this is beyond me.
Exactly!!!
with just one song this man turned the reggae world upside down. This is history in 5:42 minutes
How did he turn the reggae world upside down? It's a Sly and Robbie production from the early 80s, but it's in sync with the trends that were happening. What is it that make you think it was so revolutionary?
Pretention and eagerness
One of my favo reaggea songs, mainly because my dad used to listen to it!💚
