This is the real reason why this champion wrestler did not succeed. The fact that she struggled so hard and couldn't shed her last 100gm despite trying all those extreme measures, makes me cry so hard. Almost a happy ending for such a brave soul. It's not over till it's over. We will see her again in the next olympics.

The previous vdo was removed. Thats why they had to reupload. I shared the old vdo but after a while, when I tried visiting it, it had been removed. Some olympic committee thing it said.
From a purely logical perspective, she deserves to get a silver - the people she defeated were out of the tournament and stayed out, so the losses of those matches stand. However, for some weird reason, the win of the match is disqualified. If you are disqualifying her - giving her no silver, then all the qualifying matches need to be held again, meaning every match she played in stands null and void, or that the matches are recognised - meaning those who lost are out and the person who they lost to, gets recognised till whatever level the person had reached. This half approach of the olympic committee isn’t fair to Vinay and the wrestlers who lost to Vinay.

What this truly reflects is the lack of health education how our body metabolism works throughout the country - it took an Olympic disqualification to get people to understand how weight gain happens and what it really takes for athletes to not only prepare for their event but maintain their body stamina to keep going.
