Globalising Net Zero Aviation: Leveraging the City of London To Meet Paris

The City of London could take a different approach to Europe and the US and enable aviation to lead on its future energy requirements by establishing a Green Aviation Finance centre. The heart of green finance should act as a linchpin to regularise innovative finance that binds together the aviation and energy sectors in a way that creates the necessary global capital flows (north and south) to deliver zero emission energy infrastructure specifically for aviation’s future. It is an opportunity to build on the City’s ability to foster apolitical, economic relationships in a way that Westminster cannot.
