Cindy wrote some great songs that were recorded by Jim Reeves. "A Letter To My Heart", "Distant Drums", "This Is It", "Take Me In Your Arms and Hold Me", "I Was Just Walking Out The Door", "Wild Rose", "Oh, Gentle Shepherd", "The Night Watch", "Blue Canadian Rockies", "In The Misty Moonlight", and others. If you want to hear some beautiful music, listen to Jim sing those songs.
i didn't realise that the first song recorded by Marty Robbins that wasn't his own was a song called 'Lorelei' by Cindy. Was somewhat disappointed that he never recorded any more of her songs. 'Not That I Care' would have suited him and 'The Blizzard.' Highly talented lady.
Amazing woman.
What a lovely down to earth lady and a terrific singer in her own right. I think her 1964 recording of " You Don't Know Me " is better than anybody's.
One of the greatest song writers of all time.
I had the privilege of talking to her about some songs not long before she passed away. I admired her.
An incredible songwriter. Her songs are just amazing. "Born To Love You."
What a treasure to have this interview! Precious history!
I love Miss Cindy. The ONLY prolific lady songwriter.....EVER!
Fabulous...quite simply a top notch songwriter.

How about "You Don't Know Me"? As was said below, "one of the greatest songwriters of all time".

To think she almost didn't send Dream Baby to Roy Orbison! It's one of his best songs. I don' think Ms Walker knew how brilliant she was.
