Credit to Damiani, he already looked troubled and badly unsettled after the first round. Mixed feelings on that stoppage. On one hand, the ref's seen his eyes and body shape right after the punch, which in slow motion literally looks like it could have killed him, on the other hand, he seemed to still be all there with his senses and hadn't hit the deck. Probably a sensible decision.

Another EARLY British stoppage
Yup, I'm British and think the same.
His eyes were all over the place after that shot in what was a one sided bout. Clearly if it was much closer the ref would have let it continue, but in a fight like that, the stoppage was more than acceptable.
Fisher needs to learn how to frame when he got a dude cornered and he needs to go to the body more

Maybe, but probably not by too much, the Italian lad was barely interested most of the fight and was little more than a punchbag the more it went on. Not much to be gained letting him take more of a hiding after a shot like that, if he'd shown a bit more on the front foot he'd have earnt himself longer.

The geezer has a lot of potential, needs to improve his footwork and his timing. Sort out a few issues and he could be a force.
Early days and I like him, but Fisher definitely looks limited, pretty stiff looking. British/European level will be his limit.

@Tgetsbusy do you? Lads you'll never hear of are used as sparring partners for some of the best out there, especially at this early stage. And he's only 8 fights in so, whilst not his fault, he hasnt had an opponent of any sort of note. He'll have a decent career but it wont include much beyond domestic and European titles, in my opinion based on his style. He gets the platform he does because he can shift tickets, primarily amongst his local community, all credit to him for that, but it's leading to some like yourself talking nonsense.

I honestly can’t think of a single name in the HW division he can hang with right now (he’s still young though.) Maybe a way past their prime journeyman. Someone like a Jonathan Rice would be perfect fight for Fisher. Problem is, I can see Rice winning with ease.

I understand why ref's do it but I don't like these early stoppages when the guy as not hit the deck, or even had a count, though it looked like there was only ever going to be one winner, Young Johnny got a bit to go but he is getting there.

Damiani thought it was just light sparring.
What the heck did I just watch? Everyone trying to pump up Fisher, even the ref making sure it was an easy win. I've never seen a fight where the fighter dominating the match loses his mouthpiece, and he lost it twice!. And no warning from the ref at all. There should have been a mention if it happens again he could lose a point, that's pretty standard. Fisher needs a lot of work if he is going to fight better competition.
