It's really cool how this provides a real look at the original younger, non-Tom-Cruise, non-shirtless design for Aladdin (the revamp is iconic but I think there's nothing wrong with the kiddo in this workprint)
Ikr. Well the main problem the producers had with the kid version of Aladdin is they didn’t believe that the beautiful princess Jasmine would be attracted to what’s basically a scrawny child. That’s why they beefed him up, giving him muscles and a bare chest with a shirtless attire. Cause after all the main male and female leads have to be equally attractive. Otherwise, their romance will seem gross and cringe. Because the whole “ kids simping for adults” thing is pretty cringe. Always has been
I don’t think there is because the “applause” was apparently added in as an inside joke since when they first showed the song to test audiences, they were expecting them to applaud, but they didn’t
@deadchanneleee4736 check out Disney's aladdin behind the scenes 1992 at the very end it would show little bit of the song friend like me then at the the end of the song the applause thing appears if you hear closely you can hear the buzzing sound of the applause and the rug clapping but the applause sound is different than from what we know from the final version
