Just watch this and I was moved to tears. My Mom can not recognise me anymore, she's got dementia, and now she's so old and forgetful I don't know what to do. I just wish I have a tree to guide me.
U have that tree inside u, look deeper in your dreams and your thing makes struggle talk to your self more, that tree is there.

Same here. Just finished watching it and I cried so much. I lost my mum when I was just 3 years old and my dad two years ago. I don't think I ever grieved for him or my mum even though I was to young to remember but now I feel all alone. I miss you mum and dad so much. X

This film had me and my family sitting in the theatre bawling our eyes out. One of the best films I have ever watched.

I watched this movie (on Mother's Day, which was a dumb idea). Absolutely loved it, cried so much but the music reminded me of something I had heard before, so after the film had ended I looked up who the composer was only to find it was the same person who did The Orphanage, which is a movie that I have in my collection that also made me weep buckets of tears.
Fantastic story, emotional, beautiful music and brilliant acting from everyone.

This story isn't about a boy coming to terms with his mother's passing. Its the story of a monster created by the mother who was so grateful to have been created that he helped her son get through her passing. That look when the mother sees her monster in the hospital room is the most emotional of all for me. 10/10 would cry again
This film does not only explain the mother's suffering, but also tells us stories about our pain 3:18

I just finished watching this movie, saw it for the first time and it was an amazing movie for me to watch, I fully enjoyed it and this music is absolutely beautiful and delicate and gentle and just all round amazing🎀

I lost my father because of cancer one year ago, a couple of months after he died, my mother and I watched this movie. We cried a lot that day and everytime we watch this movie I just think about my father.

I watched this a few months after my three year old cousin lost his mother to a sudden illness and watching this brought home a personal sense of devastation and sadness. What a beautiful film and score.

10/10 Film b. dobry. Świetna gra Lewisa M., muzyka, efekty nie przytłaczają, przepiękne akwarele. Trzymałam kciuki, żeby Conor nie zrobił czegoś głupiego, co zaważyłoby na jego przyszłości. Siedem minut po północy czy Labirynt fauna to filmy, których się nie zapomina.

Both are amazing movies in their own right,but a monster calls deserved much more credit.
In my case, I had to choose between this and Arrival. I chose Arrival because of Amy Adams. Both films are great though. Kinda regret I didn't watch A Monster Calls in theatre.
Watched this show. Was not impressed initially. When things unfolded slowly towards the last half hour or so, I was so captivated by every scene, every word that was said. It was so heartwarming and heartwrenching at the same time. I didn't know I could feel two different emotions at once. Very beautifully and tastefully done! Wish there are more shows like that!
Ironic that you felt that way. As this movie is all about dealing with contradicting feelings and thoughts.
