OMG! Nobody was playing keys and organ like Mike Brooks back then. Mike Williams and Fred's pocket was so tight. Anyone who's never seen Commissioned live missed out.
Though they perform gospel, these guys should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because of their ability to combine solid musicianship and group harmonies with the Gospel. Not many people can do what these Detroiters can do!
1 of the 1st CDs i bought when i got saved in GERMANY in 1988 ❤ when i tell you...i praised, i prayed, i shouted, i cried, i endured.. I was A BIG FAN !! This group ministered to MY SOUL 🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💖💖💖
This video is such a blessing to me. It is bittersweet because I just want to see a reunion tour with Commissioned. I see information pertaining to Fred on tour with other great Artist however, Commissioned is like no other, I would be willing to pay top dollar to go to a Commissioned concert! It was so awesome to see them in MD at the Christmas 2013 Celebration at Evangel Cathedral
Actually the bass sounds great! I know what that’s like! When you want a better tone! But that smith is crunchy as a bowl of captain crunch! The kick sounds like paper! If the kick was warm, it would the bass something to lay on! Still sounds great
R.I.P Michael Brooks
The greatest gospel group of all time. RIP MICHAEL BROOKS. YOUR LEGACY LIVES ON!!!
Rest in Heaven Michael Brooks
There will NEVER be another Michael Brooks! Truly one of a kind. I am still deeply saddened that you’ve transitioned.
Mike brooks was simply amazing! He was playing those keyboard parts all by himself - no additional player, no backing tracks, pre laptop period!
Rip Michael Brooks on the keys
