It is said that this tape was given by Rammstein's guitarrist Richard to one of his friends. The A-Side of the tape has the same content as the 5-Track Demo, but includes an instrumental song at the end, exclusive to this tape.
Initially, this was thought by some to be a standalone song, but it was later confirmed that it did in fact evolve directly into Mutter. Oddly, parts of this demo version resemble the solo from We Are Together by Emigrate.
Not much else is known about the track. When a fan asked Richard about the song during a meet and greet on their Europe Stadium Tour 2019, Richard said that he wrote the song for a marriage, though this story is unreliable, unlikely even, as Richard Kruspe wrote a "very sad" song in his wedding in 1999, not 1994, so this track is probably completely unrelated. If we assume this was indeed written for a wedding by Richard (his own wedding with Caron Bernstein?), this does sound very bleak 😂. But I'm surprised with the quality of this track. Thank you so much for sharing this! Hopefully we can hear the full tape eventually

Is the baby/child's voice a sample, or did Richard record Khira Li? If it was her, then she also appears on the next song on _Mutter_ , "Spieluhr"
I didn't expect it, it's very cool, can you imagine how many more tracks have not been released, there are a lot of demo versions.

I want to add that I dislike that bit on info about the wedding being on the wiki. The way I remember the story, the guy who asked Richard that barely got two seconds to speak with him while he was walking away, Richard seemed confused about what the question even was, and the audio was not played for him. There's even a photo of this moment

Hell yeah, I knew the tape was in fans' possession, I was waiting until they decided they weren't finding a better quality copy and released this. The quality of the tape isn't even that bad, I heard the other tracks on it.

@@diealtedunkelheit53 Nope, I never heard this specific track until the fw leak, but I managed to get a copy of Jeder Lacht from this tape sent to me by Rammwiki staff (this happened after the 5 Track Tape release, I didn't get early access to Jeder Lacht). It's noisier and has a few pops on the 6 Track, the version everyone else has heard is superior by far.
You might not have meant it this way, but I want to clarify a tiny bit. RammWiki wasn't waiting for a better *copy* of the tape, but for the same tape to be digitized with real equipment. RammWiki had real equipment, and offered to do this at their own expense, but the tape's owner just wanted to sit on it for exclusivity's sake. I don't believe he's ever ripped the tape even for himself.
The rip of UI that has been uploaded is the exact one that the original seller of the tape made and sent to the buyer, which RammWiki acquired. I don't think a better one ever existed.

It was just publicly available yesterday
So the leak was actually in the possession of Rammwiki, who were using it to trade for better Rammstein-related things, and Rasputin1493 put it out yesterday. It's a good day.
