I have tears in my eyes because having this chronic disease most don’t understand when you’re wiped out don’t have strength or need to nap. I am under a rheumatologist who keeps saying my headaches are not from the Lupus. I have taken my health into my own hands and will see a rheumatologist who specializes in Lupus in July.
I’m excited to start up with her soon. Thank you so much this is the best documentary EVER!!

@@raihanahmad4635 There is nothing to worry about. This disease can be controlled. What can you do if a girl gets this disease after marriage? Trust Allah, ان شاء اللہ , you and your family will have no problem. My wife has this disease but for almost 2 years, thanks God, she is 100% under control. She just has to take some medicines in her routine, which keeps the patient completely normal. Its medicines and treatment are not expensive. Medicines are very cheap.

Earlier this year I was diagnosed with LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS in 2020 and I have tried everything I could to heal myself, but it was all to no avail, until I saw a post on a health forum about an herbalist preparing herbal medicines to cure everything type of diseases. including LUPUS ERYTHEMATOSUS , at first I doubted it was real, but decided to give it a try, when I contacted this herbalist through his email and he prepared me a herbal cure for LUPUS and sent it to me via the delivery service of UPS from the company, when I received this herbal cure. , gave me step by step instructions on how to apply it, when I applied it according to the instructions I was totally cured of this deadly disease within 1 months of use, I am now LUPUS free, all thanks to Dr. Joshua Ighalo. You can also contact this great herbalist for help by email: drjoshua.ighalo@gmail.com or contact Dr. through his whats-app: +2349057958723. Dear Avianca: My mother passed before I was diagnosed, but I recognized your mother's behavior. My mother would act that way with me when I was dealing with a serious issue. I am reluctant to say this, but I wanted to reach out. After a lot of therapy, I have realized my mother was a narcissist. If it wasn't about her, she wasn't that interested. She had a traumatic childhood, so I thought her reactions were because she had no more room for pain. I am 72 and still trying to work out meaning in my life. There are a lot of articles about narcissistic mothers and their daughters. Take a look and see if it is familiar. If not, then ignore my idea, but If it looks familiar, you'll be better to help yourself. To me the answer to surviving lupus is self management. I hope you can find a lupus group and/or a good therapist. Take care and please don't feel alone.

I'm sorry you go thru this to. My entire family (mom, dad & siblings), my husband, my children & my friends have not accepted me having Lupus or care to understand what the disease really is after my diagnosis 11 yrs ago. It's so frustrating & I just turned 46. They too say I'm too young to have to many illnesses that Lupus causes over time. They try attributing it to other things that evidently I HAVE DONE WRONG & NEVER could be about my Lupus. My brothers barely speak to me & it's upsetting because I can't help but ask "why me & not them". Unfortunately one day a disease will get them as they age & I wonder if I will be as ugly to them as they are to me. I doubt it but some days I say heck no I won't have empathy because they never even cared an ounce about me either than mock me. Amazing how family can be so awful at times.

I went to see her because of excessive hair fall and horrible horrible skin rashes. Oddly enough I am happy to have been correctly diagnosed and now I can do my best to manage it.

The sun gives me skin rashes as if I just had an allergic reaction. It’s hard to perform certain tasks. I was put on medication but I don’t take them because the side effects are worse and those medications are not going to cure these diseases. I also have reynolds syndrome. I been getting frequents headaches. This is hard. I am constantly in pain. But still going strong, for my Son and myself. I can’t let this disable me and I won’t.

The reason she is saying that is because when you break down the word, of several perceived diseases/diagnoses. Example: Fibromyalgia broken down means achiness or pain in the muscles:fibers. Auto immune diseases are caused by poor attention to health. Because the medical world doesn’t know ANYTHING about nutrition, you will not get proper/curative help. If you REALLY want to heal you will Food Map, take immune boosting supplements and clean up your life in general. PERIOD

Some of this information was good, but still very vague. Most of what was said is exactly what people with Lupus hear on a daily basis. There really wasn't any depth to the disease or help with actual issues that really effect your average person trying to live with Lupus. I was diagnosed this time last year and it has been by far the hardest year of my life! The hardest thing, besides trying to explain it to people that just don't get it, is the "Loss of Hope". And I don't mean in life all together, but in the little things most people take for granted like.... Going to the doctor and knowing that a simple antibiotic will fix their issue or getting a diagnosis that can easily be cured! Being able to keep a routine without unexpected and/or unseen issues! Being able to be there for your kids whenever they need you and not have to see the look on their faces when they feel guilty for asking because Mom doesn't feel good! And of course none of the help sites, blogs, or video's even tap into the fact that most "Can't Afford to have Lupus! And that causes a whole other level of issues and anxiety for people with Lupus! So, if you can afford all the meds and doctors appointments and the healthy lifestyle shit then you can live a "Normal" life with Lupus... Yeah, ok!

@Erin Kahren Dr. Brook Goldner wrote Goodbye Lupus, and Goodbye Autoimmune Disease. Basically her protocol is daily to eat at least a pound of raw leafy greens, .5 cup or more of chia or flax seeds, and drink at least 1 gallon of water a day. Beyond that, daily eat raw vegetables and fruits. When you are healed after 6 to 8 weeks you can incorporate an oil free whole food plant based diet, but still getting the water, 1lb greens, and .5cup chia/flax seeds. She's all about getting the seeds and greens through green smoothies primarily. I love my vitamix!

Erin, it is an extremely hard disease to live with. I hope you get support from your loved ones and friends. My sister would not have survived without her support system. And another important aspect is that you get the right medication. My sister has lived with Lupus for the past 20 years, it is a slow disease and now with the right medication her life has improved vastly. I wish you all the best.

    • @diamondrose3242
      @diamondrose3242 Рік тому +1

I was thinking the exact same thing 😅 If I didn't remember the Selena Gomez had lupus, even a Japanese Drama named "Dear Sister" had a character that was pregnant with lupus, I don't know how I would've made these last 7 days of knowing my test results and still waiting to be able to make an appointment with any rheumatologist.
All I've ever wanted to be is a mother, and carry a child at least once. I know it's not important and not everyone carrys a child to become a mother. But I wanted that full experience that life offers and what should be one of the easiest things to accomplish and an average human. Seeing Selena Gomez crying with extreme sadness to know that she isn't allowed/able to have children of her own made me feel and realize that I'm not as alone and the only one dealing with this problem as it had made me felt.
Then on the flip side, "Dear Sister" portrayed the character with lupus that it is important to prepare the perfect world for her child, whether she was going to be there or not. What had made me feel stronger is the fact that the character had it in her mind that the pregnancy may possibly kill her, but she was not dead set on " I will die when my baby is born".
Sorry if this is long. I've only told 2 people about my results and dont want to spread "rumors" since I haven't spoken to a doctor to officially label my diagnosis as lupus or non-lupus diagnosis.

I had a drastic weight gain in a couple of weeks so I knew something was wrong. Prior to that I had so many odd symptoms that didn't have anything in common & didn't make sense. I ended up by self diagnosing, going to the doctor & a blood test confirmed it. I also found out it was hereditary from my father. Plaquenil has given me quality of life & is controlling my symptoms fairly well

I say the sun is my ruler and my enemy. People don't get it when I am out and always looking to be in the shade... let's walk on the other side of the street... I can't sit here and eat. Having said that, the hydroxycloroquine does a great job of relieving my joint pain... except for the thumbs.

Hi so I’m discovering this video at a time when I really need support. I am daughter of a Mommy that lives with Lupus. I live in NY and she lives in SC she’s a retired officer. And though my grandmother lives with her she does not give my Mom the support she needs. For example if my Mom gets sick and needs to go to the hospital she will not take her. She also watches my two year old niece while my sister is away in school. My sister and I need more support in order to help our Mom. She cannot live alone and so we agreed that she should move with my sister since she watches her child. However my Mom has seizures so we’re afraid that while my sister is at work or school she could be watching my niece and suddenly have a seizure. My family isn’t supportive and my Mom’s health is getting worse. If you all could offer advice, resources, anything that can help I would appreciate. I’m a very private person but I’m at a place where I’m stuck and don’t know what to do.

I hate this fucking illness and I hate the fact that, unlike other illnesses, there’s no real awareness, research, policies, etc. It robbed me of my teaching career, my children, my sense of self. Lupus can go fuck itself

Dr.

I dont understand why my rheumatologists ignore my psychological and mental health. Ive been to literally 6 different doctors, trying to find someone thay can actually guide me and talk to me! They all prescribe HCQ but with that medicine i cant find and antidepressant that will no interract with hcq. Im taking plaquenil and i feel that i am angry and depressed. I also have antiphospholipid and they prescribe aspirin which i cant take due to a brain cavernoma which im telling them about but they seem to ignore, or at least not trying to explain anything. I feel that doctors do not see cases individually, they see lab tests and prescibe medicine. And i came to the point thai i try tonfigure things out myself. Im developing health anxiety, the more i read about stuff, the worse i get. Im so confused and in dilemma all the time 😢
