The ring pour is a very popular technique. Every artist who works with fluid acrylic will surely try it. I wanted to make some interesting compositions and color combinations on the 10x20 inch canvas and I think I got it.

Very pretty, can you share your colors, how do you mix your paints?

Thank you ☺ Of course. I like to mix different colors and often do not use them right from tube. Yellow is a mix - white, a little bit cadmium yellow, yellow ochre (all Liquitex basic) and Greenish yellow from the Amsterdam brand. I do not have specific proportions, just add a little bit of everything, until I get the tone I like. Dark blue is a mix of ultramarine blue, Payen's grey (Liqiutex basic), and qioxazine purple (Liqiutex basic). Between each color in a cup I add a little bit of white. My mix is a usual recipe - 1 part paint, 1 part fluetrol, water to consistency and some Liqiutex pouring medium. I mix until I get a consistency similar to fresh honey. For rings the pouring consistence should not be too thin. All colors are different, some colors need more medium, some colors need less. Good luck!

Moving too much can cause cracks

We can prevent cracks if the pouring mix has a good fluidity and the right consistency (not too thick). I add floetrol and usually Liqiutex pouring medium for fluidity. Thank you ☺
