'They opened' I say, but it was a double headliner act in my eyes as they performed to the tee. So it only took me about 2:15-:245ish minutes of listening to her to realize Georgia Maq is, apparently, a rock god. Holy crap that's channeling grunge and sweet harmony in the perfect way.

I really like their instrument work, but I've just never been able to get past how off-key her vocals are. I'm genuinely surprised it doesn't bother more people. I know she's not trying to sing on-pitch, but doesn't it grate on anyone else's ear? I like raw vocals, I like gravelly and rough.... but the off-key factor just really bugs me. Always glad to see an Aussie band doing well regardless of my personal taste! Just always been genuinely surprised I'm in such a minority with Camp Cope.
Where are you getting off-key? She hits some dissonant notes in her vocal melody and she had a hiccup thing on one note. This style of music doesn't have a strong sense of closed harmony, mostly power chords and sus, therefore she can sing notes that aren't the leading tone and it still make sense. I can get if you don't like it, buts it's harder to sing a different note than the one you hear in your head.
She's a trash human too. Don't dare be a male near her or she'll imply you're gatekeeping the music industry. Apparently it's because they're an all girl band that they don't get good slots at festivals, it absolutely has nothing to do with a distinct lack of talent.
