I’m a young athlete (19 male,) these advanced fitness videos are exactly the type of way I want to approach fitness! They’re great videos please keep them going!!!
When your 35k split came in on the app and you were at 6:08 pace (nearly the same as what you stated), I knew you were going to crush it. I was a bit worried you were going too fast since you were on track for the sub 2:40 at mile 16 instead of the planned 2:45….but you killed it and showed us how it’s done! Awesome job!
@@j33dup congratulations on being a dick. This guys is clearly happy with his time and has no doubt worked his ass off for 12 - 20 weeks getting ready for it. Sure BQ isnt going to get you any sponsorship deals, but its still way ahead of the curve.
Congrats man. I'll keep pushing it, but I really think Adventure Racing is right up your ally. Navigation, long distances, and pushing yourself to the limit.
Great advice. I allway run against traffic, and still you have to be really alert. And be ready for those people yelling at you to run on the correct side of the road.
I’ve had 2 different drivers go completely off the road towards me in the past 3 months. They both came back and apologized. One lady said she sneezed and the other guy said he was looking at his phone. If I wouldn’t have seen them and jumped in the ditch I would have been hit.
@brendajohnson4598 Same thing happened to me last week, while I was running on the sidewalk towards oncoming traffic.. would have been hit if I didn’t jumped out of the way! Scary shit..never running w the flow of traffic
This is amazing, Nick. Watching the whole journey through your channel and seeing the results, I am not surprised by it. I knew you will knock the sub 2:45 goal out of the park.
Have you ever done the Tennessee State Park Running Tour? When I lived in Nashville for 5 years I loved that series which focuses on the off season: starts in October and ends March/April. I visited 25 beautiful state parks and races over and over again because of that. The tour is a family, and it's captivating.
CPT Nick, Unbelievable how much time you have chopped off your marathon time the past couple years. I loved that you included the nutrition breakdown. The past year I have been doing a deep dive into the nutrition side to boost my running performance. In the past 4 months, I've chopped 17 minutes off my half marathon time (4 HMs in 6 weeks) and 1:30 off my 5K time. I think far too few runners pay the nutrition side much attention and it's where they could make some huge gains. Keep Pushing and see ya in NYC. I'll be up front with the other Athletes with Disabilities (AWD) runners. I'll say Hey when you pass me. Dr Chief Hale!!!
Those of us who are familiar with running knew that sub-2:45 was not enough of a challenge. Not sure how much you want to dedicate yourself to the sport but you are definitely capable of going sub 2:30.
Bro those splits! your like a machine!!! Way to run Nick. I love your a strong runner. Probably the strongest runner at that pace in the world! That's why I love you and Sally McRae. Strong runners! This is my goal to be a strong runner. Getting ready this week to start back on a routine at the gym and running (Using Sally's app, and your videos as guidance and inspiration). I'm going to target running a marathon under 4 hours 30 min fall 2024 (BTW I fuel with GM1 sport, salted watermelon, its amazing).
Incredible. Your combination of speed, endurance and strength is top-level stuff. Very inspiring. I appreciate truly appreciate your content. Thank you.
nick inspired us but if you see how he prepared to this goal (2:40), he was running 75 miles/week includes speed workout + strength work out. Big hat for you nick
Back in 2010 I ran a 8:30 2 mile in basic training and I thought I was doing something special 😂 a 2:39 26.2 miler is freaking bananas man. Good stuff man
Welcome to Beautiful Sacramento. I saw you standing in middle of the intersection at the starting line before the race started. I missed opportunity meeting you in person. I knew it that was you. But we have a lot of race in California… like California Ironman too. maybe I see you there.
How fast this man would run with 135 pound body..? Probably under 2:15 . I think its like olympic qualification time. That just shows how good of an endurance athlete nick is.
Hey Nick, Just wanted to say thanks for sharing all that awesome content and real-life experiences. Your efforts in spreading knowledge have been really enlightening. I've learned a lot about the importance of strength and endurance training and how to improve my physical health through your guidance. Thanks again!
Good Job lad , I knew you would do it, consistancy , work ethic and good coaching. well done. The NY marathon has the long start lag/shuttling experiance too.
Nick, in 2024 BPN needs to host a half/full marathon to break in the new HQ in Nashville. A lot of BPN support in the SE would love to come run with the crew.
Congratulations on achieving your goal. It is truly inspiring to see someone put in the work and be accomplished for it, you make me want to be better and I hope you continue to keep up the work and have a great Christmas.
Congrats! Impressive having your cake and eating it too, well sorta, your cardio and combined strength is off the charts. Hope you continue this success -> very inspirational.
Congratulations Nick it's so inspiring to watch you set a goal and laid the bricks piece by piece an absolute crush the goal because you stuck to the plan
Exactly, im sure weekly his PR team of just him and maybe a select others who knows whats up debate this and meticulously go over the pros and cons if this comes out. I feel like the only way it will now if a leak happens and they come right right out lile they were going to admit it the whole time.
Congrats nick, you are a beast!! Feel proud of your self, you deserve it. Hard work and consistency pays off. Now, do you have a a new goal to hit? Greetings from spain
Jesus Christ I’m in the gym watching this and I look down and there’s a NIPPLE ON MY SCREEN 😆😆😆 I have to workout here Nick how am I ever supposed to come back.
Congratulations Nick. I was watching your splits on the app and found myself screaming Push Nick at my phone. My wife thinks I have lost my marbles. You are an inspiration to many. Thank you
Would love to get some commentary from Nick on HR and RPE or otherwise. There was some slide that had his HR at 178-180 for most of the race, which is pretty wild for a full and more like a max effort half HR. Curious how he sustained it or how he felt and if that caused any issues!

I ran CIM too! Was hoping to see you there but I finished 27min behind you. Still got my BQ time! Congrats on the sub 2:40!
3:07 is still crazy impressive, congrats!

I ran the 2023 NYC marathon Nick! Do it in 2024! The vibe and energy from the crowd cant be beat!
For a guy your size to run a sub 2:40 marathon is nothing short of astounding. A time like that is supposed to be the run by skinny 140 pounders.

The splits are insane! How consistent throughout the entire run. 😮

He running that side because he has a cyclist or someone in a car following him doing the filming. They can’t drive on the other side of the road
Bikes ride with traffic and runners run into it so you can see the car trying to kill you
This is amazing, Nick. Watching the whole journey through your channel and seeing the results, I am not surprised by it. I knew you will knock the sub 2:45 goal out of the park.
