Lens Calibration should also be checked.Sometimes lens doesn't focus accurately in Autofocus mode when shooting with view-finder.

I have a question
I have a friend selling me his nikon AF-S 400/2.8G VR ED which he have bought it in 2014. He only use the lens once a blue moon.
The last usage was in 2017( which is 2 years ago).
My question- is it safe to buy this lens as I afraid that the motor will be dead soon. (my home electric applicants went dead after not using it much, this is my logic from seeing the lens)

No effect if you handle with care. Camera bodies ki life limited hoti hai, lens jabtak drop nhi karoge, tab tak sahi chalta hai.

At 7:00 in the vid, you said "lens will send information into the camera"
That's wrong. Vice versa happens here. Camera will send to the lens and lens will accept the focal length commands from camera. As such lens doesn't have any information to send to the camera.
Lens send EXIF information to camera.
