  • Neo4j Field Engineer Max De Marzi gets down to the basics of Neo4j and how graph databases enable whiteboard friendly modeling and real-time queries of highly connected data. He covers the secret sauce which enables this under the covers, plus discusses which use cases benefit from it the most.

Amazing talk! I especially appreciated the low level description of how relationships are stored on nodes.

Max lovely talk. Two requests: 1. Modelling: you said we should try to not add more than one label per node. It would be great to hear a future deep-dive topic from you on just that narrowly scoped (not really) topic. Because modelling is hard in Neo4j, and that one decision has far reaching implications. 2. You spent 4 minutes on slides bearing the title of your presentation "Secret Sauce". It still wasn't enough for me. Again, a deep dive on those internals would be great, or maybe you can suggest a link?

Sorry, but this is the recording we have. We do have professional captions for all of our videos though, so we'd suggest turning on captions if you have trouble hearing something.
