Stewart just exuded class and star quality many try and try again without ever finding it Stewart Granger just had it . 😊
Nice interview we can see Stewart didn’t take his self very seriously I must admit they are my favourite people, being like my mother bless her, I would have had to tell Sinatra What I thought of him when his people were dismissing the fans who made him rich
Blimey what an interesting man. This is one of the best DIDs I've listened to. I want to read about him now xx❤
Its not the original one Helen don't forget, but I agree with you its one of the better ones and he is great!!
Blokes like this don't exist anymore.
Ein ganz großartiges Interview vielen Dank 🤩
Thank you, I really enjoyed this feature bio-interview of Stewart Granger with his favorite pieces of music.
Just one correction: at 21:24 , he said, Jean Simmons, at age 19, hadn't had any theatrical experience yet, and therefore he had to chose what she went in and Tolstoy might be too heavy for her.
Excuse me, what? Had he forgotten her as Ophelia, at 17, with Laurence Olivier jn Hamlet, for which she received her first Academy Award nomination for Supporting Actress? Simmons was as great an actor as Granger.
One disappointing feature of this is that the BBC haven't credited the several film composers whose works are presented. Sad that.
Hello thank you for your reply please revisit the video and check out the footnote below. Please be aware the BBC did not do this editied version of the interview, I did and yes, your quite right, I should have reference the composers which I have now rectified. Thank you for your reply, best wishes James.
@@jamesAlexander007 Oh right, sorry, thanks. I'll delete my post if you like.
No need you were right, thk i was being lazy some people will want to know the composers, so you gv me a kick up the arse so no worries take care. James
@@jamesAlexander007 Your edit is a great one, anyhow: it much improves the programme, thanks.
