+Autogefühl While I enjoy the design of the car, I cannot enjoy why this car was created...to go fast! I'd need to relocate to Europe to use 100% of its capabilities. :-(
That is the worst colour spec California I have seen. The car seems a bit too small, I think a longer wheelbase would have made more sense, and provided the room for a useful back seat.
I really appreciate and enjoy your in depth reviews, your personality, they way they're filmed and the knowledgeable delivery Thomas. your English is very good, just a little advise, we call rear lights "tail lights" not head lights. :)
Dude….this was so boring. Every other review I’ve seen had EXCITEMENT you barely got into the speed. I’m sorry I liked your review on the 8 series BMW cabriolet better. 🤷🏾♂️
I never liked a facelift so much as with this Ferrari. All the ugly edges have been polished and with the new turbo engine it also became, modern Ferrari standards, fast. Beautiful car!
Thomas - Solid review! This particular Ferrari - style wise is just 'okay' From the front 3/4 quarter profile - looks too much like a '68-72 Corvette. The bottom front fascia too close to an older model of the Aston Martin. From the full side profile - the rear quarters look as thought the were lifted direct from the latest Camaro. What a mix - and not really great. I guess Ferrari called it a 'California' due to overall 'Chevy' look of the car. Runs nice though. Nicholas
So like a mini F12, it looks like. Similar chassis and front-engine design, but with four fewer cylinders that you probably won't miss outside of the track.
Dude, I've lived in California my whole life. This place sucks and everyone I know wishes they could afford to move away. Probably not the best name to give a car.
I think this car matches up well with the base Audi R8 Spyder and Porsche 911 Turbo S. All good daily drive supercars. Personally, I'll take the R8 Spyder.
I used to like this channel, but not anymore due to their obscene favouritism for german cars. He always tries his best to belittle or find a fault for non-german cars. Now I am sure he'll say"eeerrmmmm, ths Ferrari's build quality is not as good as porsche or audi" or something in line to (not as good as bmw". Why don't you just save yourself the trouble and just say all non-german cars are rubbish.
+Sam R I am not sure if you watch our reviews in full-length and more of our reviews, but you can clearly find out that I am not an advocate of German cars. I am describing you the pros and cons of a car. I am not paid by any manufacturer nor do I have a special brand I love best. Oh wait yeah I do, but it is not a German one :)
If the rear "seats" aren't really functional, wouldn't it be better to get rid of them to free up more trunk space? Alternatively, it would provide more room for the retractable roof, and thus enable a sleeker rear end.
+Entrepreneur ALLDAY Sorry was just wondering if I missed a product update or something :) We can do the up at some time yeah, mostly we review the cars when the new generation or facelift is upcoming though
+Adrian Solevåg Hey Adrian! Sure would like to, but Lamborghini wont give me cars anymore because my Huracan Spyder preview reached 250.000 views before the official press driving launch and someone from sales department in Italy didnt like that (true story). Plus they told me that their internal reviewing system for press publications dont include online media so online media would be basically not relevant at all (also true story)
Hello! Very nice review! It really hellped me make a good ideea about this Grand Tourer. Regarding the color, you're right, I agree, it should be red but maybe it's a cliche that all Ferraries must be red and all Lamborghinies yellow and so on. I've noticed you have experienced some problems with the infotaiment system - the GPS. I seem to remember in 2009 Top Gear came to Romania to drive on the Transfagarasan road and James May also experienced difficulties with the navi system so perhapes after more than 6 years it should be updated. It's details like this that upset at such a high class car. I saw the armrest opened only to one side.... that was not a nice feature in my oppinion, the passenger should also have acces to that compartment to plug in a phone or store chocolate or whatever. I really don't like/understand this Ferrari philosophy to mount the indicator buttons (or the horn) on the steering wheel which rotates and so the buttons aren't always where you expect. Regarding this aspect, I really think they could have found a better solution. And for the love of God, how come they made that roof opening so slowly and only when the car is stopped? That is 1980 technology... There are a lot of cheaper cars with hard top which can open the roof at speeds up to 50 km/h. I belive the kind of people who afford to buy a Ferrari expect the best and that just isn't. It is a nicely shaped and proportioned car. I also think it looks better with the open top but it looks good from all positions, being difficult to decide. My last thought is regarding the rear seats - they are more like luggage space in my view. Thank you for making this review and I'm looking foreward for the next one. Hope to see that Alfa soon if Autogefuhl began reviewing Ferrari engines.
+Dragos Teodor Bran thanks for the extensive feedback! Acutally we already have a Giulietta QV review - search for it in connection with autogefuehl :)
Hello Thomas!!! This California it's very nice, but i like much more the Mercedes-Benz SL 63/65 AMG. I love the high quality, design and specialy the seats that it has...are amazing. Great video as always!!!
Thomas, usually you give a great review but this time, you seem so in awe of the car because it's a Ferrari you're whispering half the time. Otherwise a good video. :-))
+TheMister Mann Heh thanks. Didnt notice that myself ;) I was comfortable as ever. Just we used the directional mic on the interieur caus the usual ones were in repairs :)
+Ivan Delos Santos haha =) Yeah as I am looking into it right now, it really seems like that. But actually the upper light you see belongs to the very far left light which is the traffic light for TURNING LEFT. The traffic light for STRAIGHT which you cannot see on the right was turned green :)
Great review as always. You probably get test cars fully loaded, so it would be interesting to know which of the reviewed features are optional and which are fitted as standard. And what options would you recommend to select. Thanks :)
+indash.eu Hey, thanks! Yeah we'll try to do that always when we do have the information. I have seen the California with alcantara/leather mix seats on some pictures
+Michael Lui Hey, actually we did that - just search for autogefuehl jaguar ftype r and you will find a review with 2wd and the one with 4wd on the racetrack!
Again, a great review!Just wonder if we have a chance to witness a comparison review between the new facelift SL Class and the new California T HS..Thanks
+Autogefühl 👍🏻 Oh yeah - silver my favourite normally but not on this Ferrari. I couldn't care less about the head unit either. I like to listen to my car when I drive 😄
Even if I had the money to buy this it wouldn't be on my list. The interior design is a mess. It almost looks like its a kit car inside. It's as though it was designed by 4 different design teams who weren't talking to each other. For the money you are already in Mclaren 650 spider range....almost. For half the price you can get yourself a gorgeous Jaguar F type R convertible with a v8 and the bonus of removing those idiotic rear seats. And that roof!!! That's just embarrassingly overly complicated. Windows go down, then they go up, then maybe you want them down....or maybe you want both up, up down down up down stop go... Beyond that, nice review Thomas! I agree with your opinions about leather. All high end cars sold in NA are sold with leather....BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc etc. If I had an alternative I would choose it! It's like they think people who buy more expensive cars are stuck in a time warp.
This California looks fast standing still....i can't imagine how it feels when you drive it...5 star review.
+Marko Horvat thanks!
I think the horn placed in that spot isn't good for emergency honk, which i guess is the horn's main purpose.
It feels like every second word is 'actually' :-)
actually no
:>
Ferrari in red only. :) I agree. Great review, as usual
+Marko Micovic =) thanks!
"Fox leather" Lol, bud, its pronounced "fo" for the French term faux, or fake, imitation.
+Tim Young lol bud stfu
I like this guy sexy man
Full HD is of course coming up - as usual :)
+Autogefühl While I enjoy the design of the car, I cannot enjoy why this car was created...to go fast! I'd need to relocate to Europe to use 100% of its capabilities. :-(
Like a customer reviews, that's what should be done.
+Matin Lim thanks!
That is the worst colour spec California I have seen. The car seems a bit too small, I think a longer wheelbase would have made more sense, and provided the room for a useful back seat.
Very nice car but in my opinion the 911 turbo s cabriolet is much better car and faster than this ferrari
Your channel is a real treat, you get to review lots of exotic cars. Keep up the good work.
+Sonic Hedgehog thanks mr hedgehog !
beautiful car. better in red
I really appreciate and enjoy your in depth reviews, your personality, they way they're filmed and the knowledgeable delivery Thomas. your English is very good, just a little advise, we call rear lights "tail lights" not head lights. :)
+Jason Mi Thanks Jason, appreciated! Oh did I say that? I usually refer to headlights in the front and rear/tail lights in the rear :)
Great review as always. They didn't let you drive the car in a proper road?
If I had to pick a Ferrari, I would choose the FF, I'm in love with it :-D
+pitthepig Thanks! Hehe I picked those roads myself, we always have to think about safety. I ll see if we can add the FF at some time!
Dude….this was so boring. Every other review I’ve seen had EXCITEMENT you barely got into the speed. I’m sorry I liked your review on the 8 series BMW cabriolet better. 🤷🏾♂️
Very professional presentation as usual, well done 👍
Just one thing i have to say I LOVE YOU THOMAS ! :))
+jaraisz06 thanks m8 =)
I never liked a facelift so much as with this Ferrari. All the ugly edges have been polished and with the new turbo engine it also became, modern Ferrari standards, fast. Beautiful car!
Very nice review, as always, Thomas. Keep up the good work!
amazing sound, stunning look and nice review

+Nicholas Gambino thanks Nicholas! Interesting thoughts
So like a mini F12, it looks like. Similar chassis and front-engine design, but with four fewer cylinders that you probably won't miss outside of the track.
Even inside the track, it's hard to tame that V12 from what I've read.
Fearari in grey... what a shame !
GREAT REVIEW AS ALWAYS .
the best review of this car ever!!!!!!!!!
+Νικολάρας Καπ thanks m8 !
I'm with Thomas regarding the use of leather. A case of 'style' over practicality, ymmv :)
+Rob George great to hear that Rob!
Silver gray is reserved for German cars, Ferrari must be red or yellow.
awesome review
+Shamendra Maharaj thanks ! enjoy more of our reviews!
The brake calibers should be yellow with this colour
A German reviewing an Italian car for an English-speaking audience?! Give me a break!
+Vitaly Tomilov sounds like a great mix!
Dude, I've lived in California my whole life. This place sucks and everyone I know wishes they could afford to move away. Probably not the best name to give a car.
really? how come ?
Autogefühl It just seems like half the people here don't care about anything, and the other half is kind of crazy. But that's only my opinion.
Great review again!
+Andrew Miller thanks Andrew!
I think this car matches up well with the base Audi R8 Spyder and Porsche 911 Turbo S. All good daily drive supercars. Personally, I'll take the R8 Spyder.
Sehr gutes Video 👍
+Julian vielen Dank!
The leather for back seats is wasted.
that euro 6 ? looks more like used euro3
waiting for Ferrari 488 GTB review by you.
+firstname lastname me too :)

***** I didn't know you'd take my post so literally. Sorry if it was a bit too harshly critical.
+Sam R No worries. It's important to talk about that. Just be sure I rate every car individually and independent
+Autogefühl Thomas: what, then, is your favorite auto?
Place Italy 2007 DP ????
Grind grind grind. I'll buy a California T this year hopefully.
If the rear "seats" aren't really functional, wouldn't it be better to get rid of them to free up more trunk space? Alternatively, it would provide more room for the retractable roof, and thus enable a sleeker rear end.
Could you guys make a video about the new Volkswagen Up. Nice video like always!
+Entrepreneur ALLDAY Thanks! Hm, the vw up is not new, is it ?
+Autogefühl No it's not, but there is an E-up, but even that is old now :p
I ment could you do a review of it sorry for the bad explanation.
+Entrepreneur ALLDAY Sorry was just wondering if I missed a product update or something :) We can do the up at some time yeah, mostly we review the cars when the new generation or facelift is upcoming though
Very good review.
Great review Thomas! Better this or an SL of the same age?
Dear Thomas, what do you think?
why would anyone buy a ferrari with Silver color !!!!
+Yacine Cino heh yeah I would go for red as well - or at least some nice blue if you dont want red
I test drove the Cali T this past week and loved it! I may consider trading in my Aston GT for one maybe next year.
The baby ferrari I like it
Berlinetta and this and 458 They are fucking awesome. Thanks Thomas.
it's cool but i prefer the 488 spider it's waay better and specially the exterior.
Thomas love your reviews always! Always give very realistic unbiased and practical review. Keep up the great work! 👍
Can you make a review of the 2016 Lamborghini aventador roadster

Ciao Thomas!

+Mario Dalla Riva Ciao! Well top speed is nothing that really attaches me :)
+Autogefühl 👍🏻
Oh yeah - silver my favourite normally but not on this Ferrari.
I couldn't care less about the head unit either. I like to listen to my car when I drive 😄
+Mario Dalla Riva heh yeah if it has this sound =)
I like your review
thanks, join us for more!
Great review. Just think you could speak a bit louder or clearer sometimes. Congrats!
+Alexandre Maciel thanks!
"It doesn't fit my body"
Side and lumbar supports on both the cushion's seat and the back are fully adjustable.
that wont help if the overall seat form is inappropriate

+kevin n Very interesting feedback, thanks!
+kevin n
I agree with you, the interior specially the glovebox and nav screen area looks like it came from an Peugeot or something like that.
