Hey guys, I get so many questions about this topic and my approach so I decided to make this video. Let me know if that’s helpful for you! 🤘🏻🙏🏻😊
Very Helpful.❤
It's really helpful!!!
Yes very helpfull thank you!!
Hell yeah thanks so much for this tutorial man🤘🏻
Tip 4: plan exactly when to up or down stroke. Start every pattern thinking about that. To me this helped a lot to be more aware of what's going on at higher speeds.
nice, all good tips thanks
Thank you for this man. Your technique has always eluded me and these tips help tremendously in understanding how to do what you do consistently. I would love more technique oriented videos like this one !
Thanks. I really appreciate that!
Yes, this is perfect. The other thing that has helped me is to focus on relaxation - good posture, relaxing my jaw, just keeping my body relaxed overall. I used to think that relaxation would come with practice (just getting more used to playing at certain speeds), but I think that if you practice with tension you will be teaching yourself to play with tension. So whenever I do bursts, I take that space between bursts to check my tension and take a breath if I need.
Yes, absolutely! Relaxation is one of the most important aspects for executing faster runs. Of course, there are numerous other essential factors to consider, but these are just a few that I believe people may not be fully aware of. But yeah, it is also very important to look at your breath during your practice sessions. This is something that people often forget.
Thank you, very helpful.
I’m glad I could help!
Thanks! Really appreciate it, saludos desde Chile!
That palm mute tip is very helpful!
Tip request: hybrid picking
Very good video!
great tips
Thanks for this video Rafael! A question I always have is, how did you come up with long technical passages, such as the intro to Ethereal Skies and Iconic? What's your writing process? Maybe a topic for another video.
Thanks for the tips!
Thank you very helpful. Love concise and to the point lessons.
ah, you mean I actually have to practice? Damn...
Thanks for the video tho, I found that especially with sweep picking, the movement and feel is really dependent on speed. Learning the pattern slow is important but then bring it up to speed just to feel how it goes.
practice helps most of the time ;)
exactly!
Great tips, thank you. 🤘
At the moment I'm stuck at archspire, and questioning my whole picking technique. This video might help. thanks!
It’s a long journey of trial and error.

Thanks man! Your technique is up there with the best of the best. I'll have to hit you up for some one on one lessons sometime!
Happy to help. Anytime :)
Such an awesome video! Thank you ❤
❤️
Great lesson, Rafael! I recently got into that burst thing, it really helps a lot! 😌👌
thanks, yeah it is something I've worked on for a long time
Very nice video
Thanks
Hi Rafael, great video! Id have a question, could you show us how does your right hand work from a side view? For some time Ive been trying to look further into your closed hand holding and I wonder what does it look like when you do it. I know its probably something youd cover in a private lesson, but I dont think I could afford it 😅. Cheers!
I might do a video about it in the future at some point :)
Happy to be first.😍
😊
@@rafaeltrujillo_official Keep inspiring us Rafael.❤️♥️
