The make up and mask thing is so done - it's quite sad really! He's just a cheap copy of Kiss and his band us a k-mart version of slipnot, and the music is so unoriginal. Why do people rave about him? Just so done already!
It's widely known that Paul Stanley mimes on the latest KISS tour, so that's one big difference between them and Ghost. The mask thing isn't "quite sad" it's brilliantly theatrical and they're easily the most entertaining live band around just now.
I'm a believer that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, especially when it comes to music and all forms of art, so allow me to offer mine. Ghost may not be an entirely original idea, but when was anything ever truly original in the past few decades? Ghost do what they do very well. The music, for whatever originality it may lack, is catchy and well crafted. Tobias Forge (the leader and primary song writer) wears his influences on his sleeve and it gives the music an almost nostalgic quality, which I personally enjoy. I also think Ghost's biggest strength is their showmanship. I've been to a lot of gigs in my day and Ghost are up there with the best live bands to see these days for a complete entertainment experience. And the guys in Metallica like them and that's hard to argue with. Haha
