I counted about 30 cars loaded with logs on the train hauling into Beaver Cove !!!! I wonder how often a train load like that came in ?? That was in 1990, I revisited Kelsey Bay about 3 years ago and that dry land sort was as busy as ever. I used to work out of Kelsey Bay in the early 70's on the old Queen of Prince Rupert. Drove by that dry land sort many a time. Used to have beers at the old Sayward Inn. Where does the time go ????? lol.
back when the horns were fully tuned and the engines were loud and there were rails. i will always be mad i never got to see this in person.
Indeed, the opportunity to see and experience the railway is no more. Look on the bright side.....you can always watch my videos, lol.

Quite often actually. it was not unusual for a day's production of 120 loads. About 40 cars per train.
Sure wish I could've seen this operation in person. Shame it's all gone now. What horn and bells were used? I can't remember
