young kids like that need to be embraced and allowed to be apart of our activities, alot of people now days would of gave him the cold shoulder, and that's part of what's wrong with our youth these days nobody takes time with them :/
I'm 25 my nephew just turned 4 and you better believe I'm trying to teach him all i know about fishing!

Lots of respect for how you treated that kid, to see him saying "sorry I talk so much" and how you responded really must have impacted him in a very positive way, just subscribed to your channel, keep up that attitude sir.

Yeah. It's about "paying" it forward! I've been a mechanic for 29 years. I remember my older experienced coworkers teaching me. I learned to shut up and listen.. Now I am the one paying it forward. I've been training the next generation for the last 10 years. All of you who drive cars, you're welcome. Lol.

Go to little Jim bridge boat ramp and fish the inlet from your boat.
When the bait is running like that the rewards are great if you have the right gear.
The spot you fished we call the dragons teeth.
Loads of rocks which makes the water boil on incoming and outgoing tides.
    Tons of fish hold there.
    Good luck

Try taking a dip net and scooping up some of those glass minnows and threading about 4-8 of them into a 6/0 circle hook and then just letting it float out there. I’ve hooked some tarpon upwards of 200 pounds doing that off the beach during the glass minnow run but have never been lucky enough to land one

Cool video, fast and furious action. Would have been nice to see you get a big tarpon, but nothing wrong with lots of jacks and a couple of mackerel. I'll be doing the same type of fishing soon here in the great lakes, salmon run will start in another month or so. It gets the same way here, lots of fish, lots of hook ups but not always landed. It's an absolute adrenaline rush, they hit so hard it feels like you just hooked a car driving by in traffic, LOL 😂😂

  • @michaelsimko7694

2 lures I'd grab for that type of fishing are a 2 ounce GT or bottleneck popper and a 1 or 2 ounce slab spoon. A spoon with a single hook rigged with a green tube would be a good one too. Those jacks would slam the topwater and the tarpon would probably like the smaller but heavy spoons.
