I don't like the way you suspend the brake caliper on the tube. the brake caliper must be suspended with a wire on the spring, or another part of the body.
My passenger rear spring broke off while I was doing my rotors so I completely removed the shoe brake on the pass side. I’m a little intimidated but these shoe brakes. Im going to use this video as a reference when the spring kit comes in. Will I be okay driving around for now?
Unfortunately what I was looking for was tips on how to remove the parking brake. This did however help me in assembling them after the bearing replacement but yeah those damn ears on the front just get in the way when trying to put in those spring clips.

It also works for 2015 Lexus is 250 you save me a couple hundred boss may god bless your for sharing your knowledge 🤝
I used 2 small cable ties to compress those small springs, i managed to fit the pin, spring a cap in a couple of minutes each.
SO hard to follow since the video and sound is out of sync by almost a minute
There’s a hole in the wheel hub just aligned to the spring and pushed through 🤦🏻
Oof this vid giving me PTSD I have done so many drum brakes and emergency brakes lately. :'(
Would that "dealer only part" be the same for a is350 ? Like can I get that part from an is250 and fit it in a is350 ?
What's up Josh.

the lower sliders/guide pins were completely rusted solid into the calipers on mine so looks like I'm gonna need 2 new calipers, great!
do not hang the caliper with its own horse....you may damage the hose and its deadly.......hang the caliper with a cord.
Thanks bro
Before you fit the new rotor you should of cleaned it with brake cleaner to get all oil off
Thank you for putting in so much time for this vid. This helps tremendously!

Excellent detail. Thank you!!!
Damn, you need to support that caliper. Tie it to the struts or something. Don't care if it's "light weight" aluminum, it's at least a solid 5 lbs.

Do you happen to have the part number for that dealer only part?
