i think it depends. if the kid was just born and the mom is looking for help or money then that's a bit different than raising a kid for years and then finding out. Some of the guys know those kids really well, and don't see a reason to stop lovin em even if the mom proves to hide things from them. Of course not all people feel that way but I can see how some guys don't want to take out their emotions on a kid that didn't really ask for it. or they might feel like the fatherly bond is too strong to not love the kid that way (kind of like how adopted and step parents grow super attached to a kid and can't not see themselves as a parent to them, even if its not by blood)
