it was in Paris december 2001. She was very very very sick, and I remember long moment of her coughing back to the piano. The entire concert was magic, because she was still recovering from personal bad stuff and also professional issues. It was her big come back, and Paris was very expected... And that moment of this video is still today the best concert record I have. I remember everyone was crying, as well as her, and it was so unique, fragile and powerful at the same time. The original song title is "je t'aime", and the audience sings "on t'aime" that means "WE love you".... Still Today when I watch it I just can remember the intensity of it. It was my first concert ever, and after that I thought concerts were intense like Lara fabian's ones... Well the reality got me wrong because there are not artist like Lara Fabian around.

I am from Lebanon, She was singing "je t'aime" means `i love you and people were responding "on t'aime`' means we love you. Amazing and every time `I watch it, I have goosebumps and `I tear up.
the reason she's reacting the way she's to the crowd.... is because she's coming out of a tough period in her life.. the crowd is singing "we love you" instead of "I love you"... "je t'aime" .. which is the title of the song... and that's what gets to her the most, seeing so many people giving her love.. .. and that's how it made for a special night that night..

My favorite song is Adagio in English and Italian, you're not from here, Growing wings, Tout, papillon and J'y crois encore in french, perdere l'amore in Italian and love is like a dream in Russian.

This was a coordinated effort from her fans wanting to express their "Love" for Lara during a dark period in her professional and personal life which resulted in health issues and coupled by cruel comments by the French media. She began to question her existence and contemplated suicide. I believe a commenter in another reaction to Je t'aime stated that this was her 1st live appearance in a few years. The fans and pianist knew this was going to happen. Read that some 6000+ fans (others say 8000) were given cards with instructions on what to do. You hear a faint cry from the audience at the beginning of the song "Don't sing Lara", hence the bewildered look on her face! As she starts she says “You caught me off guard!” from a fan “don’t cry Lara!”
She had stated in interviews that at this moment in time she knew life was worth living and subsequently crawled her way back into the light.
The crowd was singing 'I love you' to her as she was singing 'I love you back and this is why and how' There's no sadness, just pure honesty to her fans.

I love Laura Fabian and there may be versions in which she is able to perform better, but in this version, the audience starts singing before she even starts and she is clearly moved. By the end of the song, the audience singing with her moves her to tears. This is the powerful connection between a singer and that singer's audience I have ever witnessed.

What is really strong during this event it is the moment where Lara realize that it is her public who make a real declarartion of love to her, (" ho damn !! you caught me off guard"-> "ho là !! vous m'avez pris de court là!!" 2min06sec to 2min 09sec) and it is so powerfull..."we love you" (on t'aime) (in reference at the title and the chorus "je t'aime" -> "I love you") and at this precise moment is borning a real dialogue between the crowd and the singer who say as a confession "I love you !!! You see I love you like this!!!" (as you are) ( je t'aime !!! tu vois je t'aime comme ça) !! it is not a simple song anymore who tell a fiction, but there,the lyrics come to life !! She is extremely moved, and it is impossible to make a more sincere interpretation than this one !! No one (even Lara) can remain indifferent to so much love proclaims by so much people !! Personnally the moment that make me capsized it's the moment where the word "je t'.......t'..aime" can't go out and be pronounce from her mouth... so much that it is heavy of sense !! (3min 07s to 3min 11s)!! For her this night was a real consecration !!!
