Wow! What a fantastic concept to create a video of having someone as knowledgeable as Justin outlining recommended changes to a vehicle to get it to where it needs to be. I can't stress enough how helpful something like this is to the general public! I could envision a series of "trouble free" vids produced by ST for each brand and model of UTV that's currently on the market. I'm located in Lake Havasu City AZ and I'm looking at buying a brand new 2021 KRX 1000 within the next few months and I would LOVE to hear from Justin as to what changes/upgrades he would recommend right out of the gate. My guess would be an ST spring kit with the silent crossovers. But I would love to hear what he has to say, especially since he owns a KRX. Thanks!

Look forward to seeing if there is any way to improve travel and ride on my teryx so i can hang with my Talon friends.
I would. They work great. But a bit of advice. If you can route the intake for the air cleaner into the cab of the car or at least forward of the rear firewall you won't ever get a dirty filter.
In the what should you buy live video, why wasn’t the naturally aspirated XP 1000 mentioned? Just the turbo. And what’s the difference between the XX and the tracker? Looking to buy a SxS soon.
The factory bearings are on the cheep side. Also one is under oiled. Contact Weddle, Cryo heat or sand craft for the bearing upgrades. Usually they upgrade the oiling system to help the under oiled bearing when they have the gear box apart. Good luck
Love your videos. If I end up keeping my XX, I’m gonna head down to Phoenix for the Stage 3 RIS. If not, you’ll be seeing me with whatever 4 seater I buy
Do I need to worry about the transmission bearing failure on my xpt 2018 dynamix if I run 32” tires? Mentioned in this video? Stock hp only clutch upgrade
On the turbo s rack install video you guys state that the dynamix shocks on a turbo s are right and left side specific. I marked mine and sent them in to you guys for the internals (rebuild/revalve). They came back with new stickers and no markings for which side is which. What should I do?
The front shocks reservoirs are angled toward the firewall. If standing behind the turbo S the rear shocks reservoirs are angled towards the outside of the car or away from the engine. If you get it wrong the shocks actually can’t be installed at all so you will get it right no matter what 👍
Are these recommendations more towards the 4 seater or 2 seater? I just bought the xp1000 premium 2 seater and now I’m curious if I should keep these upgrades in mind or wait to swap them out when it’s necessary? Thanks!

They should really add that this is west coast style riding. I want to know how the units hold up after being sunk a handful of times over 15 years, having a extra 50lbs of clay/mud stuck to the wheels for 8 hours. Having the radiator be completely jam packed full of mud, temp light flashing as the headers glow cherry red from a rip in the swamp, driving 2-3 feet under water. After a few months of that, run it at full throttle on the ice at -15F. That's what most midwest Hondas have been going the last 30 years. Show me a Polaris ATV from the 1980s. @@ShockTherapyllc Thank you. I was asking for a friend since he is in the market for a new UTV. I told him to go with the KRX, with all the great comments you have made about the suspension. I own a YXZ (I know, I know) will be sending my suspension to you guys in a few months.
If all you do is the dunes then I would do the rear bar. If you do desert and trail with a bit of dunes I would suggest a front bar. It would balance the car the best with all terrains considered.
I caught some pictures of guys at king of hammers changing the rear suspension geometry on the yxz. Have you guys ever thought about doing anything like thism if there was ever a car that needed suspension upgrades it is the yxz
Turbo S is pretty solid. I would spend a lot of time tuning the clutch perfectly. Rack and pinion maybe. Tie rods, radius rods but that is about it. I never care much about rattles honestly. I should but I usually have a helmet, clean air and intercom on so it's a none issue for me.
Take some black tape and put a couple rounds on the door striker on the body side at the front of the door. Also remove the 2 door pins and put a small piece under the flat head end of the pin then re-inistall. That solved all the door rattles on my 2020 xpt4.
I own a 2020 Honda Talon 1000X-4 With the Fox Live Valve. What improvement rate is doing a revolve and spring job or whatever on it? Is it worth the money
Shock Therapy llc Thank you since I live in Gilbert and shipping will be cheaper what the total price including tax for both springs and revalve. Oh and can I have the new springs powder coated to match my orange again? Thank you.
Good question. I probably won't be the guy for you though. I just don't think I am ever putting 35's on our car. I foresee a lot of front diff, axle, hub bearing issues. Maybe rack too.
Shock Therapy llc I figure that was coming soon. Can you guys give your early thoughts on the KRX. I know you probably don’t have a lot of time in the car yet but maybe some tech talk?
Jamey Arthurhultz actually we have over 2500 miles on our KRX. I love it. If it was Turbo’d it might be my top pic. Check out our what UTV to buy video
these are great videos. sounds like the polaris is a great platform. Id love to watch a video on sand tires. I go to the dunes like once a year but i dont know what im looking for. seems like tires are a science.
Love these videos! I'm looking to get back in next year and it's a toss up between the KRX or RZR-S Velocity. KRX cause it's built so well. It seems it needs nothing done to it out of the box. Yes it's a little under powered (has 3x what my long travel rhino had) but thinking I'd add a turbo down the road. I love the wheel base, ease of maintenance, width, cab room, visibility, belt temp sensor, oil window, comes with bead locks and I do about 90% trails, 10% dunes. The RZR-S Velocity would only be if I want to do more duning, but I'm worried about QC from Polaris, and I wish the wheel base was longer than 90". Thoughts...
Oh and I asked this cause you may have swayed me on the RZR-S if all it needs is sway bar link. You drive all this stuff so your input is greatly appreciated...thanks for putting these videos out.
@@71dbart between those two cars I feel that the KRX is a much more capable UTV. The power is similar and they will both trail very well, but if it gets really rough or you want to high speed some whoops or desert the KRX is much better for that without sacrificing anything in the trail stuff. IMHO
@@71dbart Well dam. That changes everything. I love horse power and you can't compete with the Turbo S. But if your trail riding won't you have issues with the width? Also, do you need the power? If your comparing smaller UTVs that are non turbo I will still say the KRX. But comparing the KRX with the Turbo S I will go Turbo S.
@@ShockTherapyllc LOL, We do Barstow, El Mirage, Gorman, Calico, Dumont and Glamis. I know how well the KRX is built but also under powered. I wasn't sure if the new RZR Turbo S is better built than previous RZR models. If all it really needs is sway bar mount right off the bat, well I'll order them from you the day I get it LOL. Like I stated earlier, I just wish it had longer wheel base like the KRX. As for the width, my buddy has a Can Am XRS-72" wide and goes everywhere we go.
Justin said that he "used to have" and RS1. Why did he get rid of it? I though he loved RS1's. I'm curious because I love my RS1. I'd sell everything else before it.
I got the 2021 xp 1000 sport, did they upgrade the front diff on it or not, also I had a buddy give me 32" tires to try on it I have not even tried to go anywhere with them on I don't plan on pushing it too hard I just wana ride with my friends I would like to know if I will be fine running 32" tires with no other upgrades the stock tires are 29". Also would like your opinion on the 2021 xp 1000 did they upgrade anything over previous years or so.
@@ShockTherapyllc it's the xp 1000 that has the white lightning white/black/green not very many videos on it other than dealerships trying to sell it. Not very much info on it at all because everyone seems to skip over it for the premium or pro or turbo hopefully not because it is a bad machine I hope, got it as my first sxs Sept of last year. I got it brand new. Reason I added sport at the end of the name is because I saw a dealer label it exactly as that.
@@deathby1hpgaming485 So the XP 1000 does not have any updates. All the things in the video apply to your car as well. The Turbo S and Pro are the only ones with big diffs, arm bolts, tabs and transmission improvements
@@ShockTherapyllc to my original question though, I just rode around the yard with the 32" tires on they are the stock coyotes off a turbo s velocity, in the short term like one ride at top trails do you think they would mess up anything or should I stick with the bighorns that came with it for this ride and buy some things to make the 32s safe to run?
@@deathby1hpgaming485 The longer you spend on 32's the sooner the parts will wear out. If your foot is in it a lot then it will happen soon. If your foot is out of it then you can make it just fine for a few trips before you structure up all the important parts.
I’ve got a 2019 XP4 1K on 2” offset Method wheels with 30” tires. It’s a family car so I’m not adding power to the engine... Based on that do you guys think I’ll still need clutch tuning? They’re strait to the point and answer the questions I’ve been wondering. 👍👍
With 30's your good with the stock clutch tune. Just make sure your replacing clutch parts that wear out as needed. They will cause belt issues often. Thank you
I'm guessing that people really drive the UTV's that are seen in the background of all your videos. However, everyone of them looks like a trailer queen...WTH...is going on?
@@ShockTherapyllc Well within a few months...if my planning works out...mine will be there; I need the R.I.S. put on it. I already have the front and rear sway bar/links....night and day difference. The coils go on tomorrow...at Marana Auto Body. The frame supports will be something done near the first of the month. I have watched a number of your videos and taken a lot of notes on the improvements needed for my 2021 Polaris XP 1000 4. Do you guys offer financing?
No sir
What's up guys! When mentioned early XP what years are yall referring to?
All XP1000 and XP turbo. . Just not XP 900 or Turbo S
@@ShockTherapyllc Thanks guys!!
Do you have sway bar links that fit the polaris general?
Not yet. Working on it
Y’all should do a trouble free can am maverick sport next! Thinking about buying a four seat
When switching away bars on a budget. Would you recommend the front or rear on a 2020 XP4 Turbo?
If all you do is the dunes then I would do the rear bar. If you do desert and trail with a bit of dunes I would suggest a front bar. It would balance the car the best with all terrains considered.
has there been any improvements to the 2021 RZR XP turbos over other years? I have a 4 seater coming in October is why I ask. Thanks
Following have the same car
I caught some pictures of guys at king of hammers changing the rear suspension geometry on the yxz.
Have you guys ever thought about doing anything like thism if there was ever a car that needed suspension upgrades it is the yxz
yes but we will never build long travel or A arms or trailing arms. It needs to be someone in the industry that does this already.
What would you upgrade on a 2020 RZR turbo S. Alot of rattle from rear door is one annoying thing.
Also remove the 2 door pins and put a small piece under the flat head end of the pin
then re-inistall. That solved all the door rattles on my 2020 xpt4.
Does your race car weight of 2500 to 2600 lbs include the driver and a passenger?
That is race ready no driver or passenger.
I own a 2020 Honda Talon 1000X-4
With the Fox Live Valve.
What improvement rate is doing a revolve and spring job or whatever on it? Is it worth the money
Springs help 25%. Shock internals help another 50% better than it is stock

Thank you since I live in Gilbert and shipping will be cheaper what the total price including tax for both springs and revalve. Oh and can I have the new springs powder coated to match my orange again? Thank you.
Can you guys make a trouble free YXZ video?
I have seen 35s on the KRX. Looks awesome. I'm curious about a serious test of the KRX with 35s and long term term durability.
Is there anyone local you would suggest to do RZR Turbo clutch tuning and modifications?
Local where.

these are great videos. sounds like the polaris is a great platform. Id love to watch a video on sand tires. I go to the dunes like once a year but i dont know what im looking for. seems like tires are a science.
Krx 1000 testing video, feedback. Etc.....
Almost done with that. coming soon
IMHO
@@ShockTherapyllc Ooops, I meant the RZR Turbo S-Velocity.
What has been done to your XX for race durability?
Nothing. Just the better axles they have developed. Could use a rack tho
Shock Therapy llc how critical do you guys think it is to race prep a trans and front diff on and xx I don’t race but I do run it hard
Justin said that he "used to have" and RS1. Why did he get rid of it? I though he loved RS1's. I'm curious because I love my RS1. I'd sell everything else before it.
Was the RS1 the one that caught fire? If so, he should go ahead and get him another before they stop making them.
Also would like your opinion on the 2021 xp 1000 did they upgrade anything over previous years or so.
do you have an XP 1000 or do you have a Trail sport?
Good information
I’ve got a 2019 XP4 1K on 2” offset Method wheels with 30” tires. It’s a family car so I’m not adding power to the engine... Based on that do you guys think I’ll still need clutch tuning? I’m at 800miles and haven’t had belt issues yet, but I also blow out the clutch w/ air regularly.
Thanks for this video and the others. They’re strait to the point and answer the questions I’ve been wondering. 👍👍
Hi
With 30's your good with the stock clutch tune. Just make sure your replacing clutch parts that wear out as needed. They will cause belt issues often. Thank you
Bought my xp 8 hrs ago
So the title was click bait :(
Ok just having some fun but does the Honda Hater look exactly like a pale version of Jeffery Epstein? I'm not wrong...lol.
I'm guessing that people really drive the UTV's that are seen in the background of all your videos. However, everyone of them looks like a trailer queen...WTH...is going on?
If it has our name on it it gets massively flogged. If not then I can't speak for our customers.
I noticed that everyone seems to be using the turbo…good for mid to highs; so I’m considering Kraftwork’s Supercharger; good for stop to mid, and programmed by Victor at Marana Auto Body. In either case, when it gets in your shop…know I run it everyday…and rubbing…is fucking racing.
