      @@lebeech876 he’s definitely too heavy. You do realize when we say this about track stars we are not saying they’re obese, right? Track athletes lift tons of weights for power, then slim down for competition. He always looks loaded, which is probably a huge reason he’s not running very fast.

    Smh, why? Yohan clearly jogged a 21.67 he had way more in the tank. Look at his past runs this year. If you guys think he was trying, then y'all need to check your eyesight. Yohan knows what he was doing and he ran worse than that in 2021 and he is still going. Competition wasn't even top so why should Yohan push it out at a meet that almost doesn't really matter? • @stevie586
      @stevie586 Рік тому +1

      No…in this case, it’s best that he let up. There is no need to run all the way to the tape if you’re clearly ahead and there is nothing to gain, as the more one runs full speed, the more prone he/she is to injury. Running all the way to the line on a slow time of over 21 seconds isn’t gonna get a world record or anything, so, no point.

    • @s.patterson5698
      @s.patterson5698 Рік тому +1

    • @stevie586
      @stevie586 Рік тому +2

      @@s.patterson5698 There are a few situations where this definitely applies with a few athletes…especially ShaCarri keeps doing this when she needs to run for time. However, unless you’re somewhere close to the world record, or running an extremely fast time, there is absolutely no need to do this. Doing this could possibly cause you to rupture your Achilles, or receive any other injury, and for what(?), to run to the line and prove nothing? Most of the time, it’s just not necessary, and staying healthy is one of the most important things for any athlete.

    I think they should get rid of that disqualification system. All other races are started with all the entered athletes except the 100 and 200. Imagine athletes training, and traveling to put out their works, and because of a false start, they're immediately disqualified. Another system should be implemented to start those events.
