I remember watching this 10 times in theatre when it released. I'm just that big of an MS fan. I remember every dialogue, action and moment from this film. I'm usually a very rational and logical person who don't believe in hero worship. But...man...is he a hero! And also SSR❤ RIP my brother

That day he was no more than an Indian feeling the pride that we all felt in the moment. That day...he was...just one of us. And that is the power of cricket in India. When Sachin Tendulkar was out, everyone thought that we won't win. But Gambhir handled the pressure and after getting Indian hopes back he was joined by Dhoni to take India to a win. Unfortunately poor guy got out at 97 and missed a well deserved century

So if you had seen Amir Khan in between then no doubt he too came to the stadium to watch and enjoy World Cup. It's true that Dhoni is a legend cricketer with down to earth personality. But whatever cricketer name you had heard are really world famous. Especially Sachin is a god of cricket ( dhoni had a poster of him in his childhood and Priyanka was asking for autograph of) for 40 years. Yuvi (yuvraaj Singh) who won against dhoni in selection match with his Punjab team is famous and no doubt they know each other before they even introduced in India cricket world. We are so proud of Dhoni and belive he is irreplaceable as a player and captain ❤ I am happy that he selected Sushant Singh for his biopsy movie... That's a perfect match🎯💯

Hey, thank you so much for this. Just some pointers as a fun knowledge:
1. That person, in the poster is actually considered "THE GOD" of cricket, as cricket is kind of a religion in India.
2. Dhoni is actually much better in his wicketkeeping, he's one of the best WC of all times, if not the best already.
3. The person you said "needs to be humbled" is actually a legend in himself - Yuvraj Singh, you see him batting alongside Dhoni in climax. He was the man of tournament for the World Cup which India won in the climax. He's Dhoni's best friend actually. He played the World Cup while battling cancer. An all rounder and a legend truly - dominated the domestic cricket and Dhoni and Yuvraj's rivalry was legendary before they made India team together.
4. Dhoni is actually called the "captain cool" because of his unnevering emotional stability and his control on emotional displays. That's the reason you see him stoic in many moments when he should be sulking or celebrating.
5. The things which seems more dramatised are actually true: Dhoni's girlfriend's death, him being a power player, hitting a six for winning the finale of world cup and not playing safe, leading India to many tournament's win as captain, giving the last and important over for T20 WC to a newbie player and playing bet on him. You can maybe (not really) doubt the PLAYER Dhoni, but you can never doubt the CAPTAIN Dhoni.
6. Yes, that was actually Amir Khan, you missed SRK in crowd too. It is actually tied with real footage of World Cup Finale. They were all there obviously to watch the match.

Just Dhoni said I will go 8n the last scene, that's not real thing in the movie. Actual thing is, on that time Sourav Ganguly, who is the previous captain of India after MS Dhoni. He was told to select Dhoni after the Gautam Gambhir was out in the world cup final match. Because Sourav Ganguly knows that MS Dhoni should be finish the match!and that's how it's happened! But India won the match because of Gautam Gambhir's contribution, he chased 97 runs. Just for damn three runs, he was out for the reason of LBW! All players have great contribution like Yuvraj Singh was played with the partnership MS Dhoni! It's a great world cup history that never happen again!
