I have been using AEVIT EMC in my car since the year 2000. This has worked flawlessly all these years. With almost no strength in my arms, I use my chin on the steering wheel and my right leg controls the accelerator and brakes. Digi tones are used for the secondary controls. In my newest car, a VW Caravelle (from the year 2007), I am so satisfied with these products, I will definitely have them installed on my new car :) Without Aevit, it would not be possible for me to drive independently the way I do now. Amazing what they can do 'I thought the Toyota alphard was clever 'but this is on another level 'I still like the Toyota alphard it has a electric wheel chair that is your seat it lifts you out of the vehicle and you just drive off on the electric wheel chair magic

Can you drive from your wheelchair with this system?
Yes, it is custom fitted to the driver while seated in their wheelchair.

sorry, but there is no way of telling you an approximate price. Your CDRS will be the one that prescribes the amount and type of equipment you would need.
Are any financial help with any the devices
Sometimes Vocational Rehabilitation Services in your home state will help pay for adapted equipment if you need such devices to work and sometimes attend school. It's best to check with the regulations of your particular state for exact details. We also have a page on our website under the resource tab in the upper right. No, their are electronic driving controls for all types of vehicles available.

Can people with none working legs get a car like this?
Yes, these controls are customized based on a person's needs. I have personally seen people with no arms and legs drive using various electronic driving controls. However, basic mechanical hand controls will usually work fine if you have strength in your arms.
