Tanks that literally fit in the palm of your hand. Would make for neat desk toys, and the printed detail even at this smaller scale looks fantastic. Absence of treads could probably be remedied on most of these with a couple of smaller rubber bands though for display purposes only. Would be awesome to see the conceptual Ratt in this scale.

I wouldn’t say they are all 1:72, some look slightly smaller around 1:78 and with the Panzer III, around 1:87. But even so, this is a nice line of tanks and the scale can be ignored for the most part.
Also a revised 85. The current one looks so stupid. I mean the turret. They made the IS-2 turret so beautifully curved, truly remarkable. The T-34/85 looks so awkward in comparison.
These would be more interesting if they had something to simulate the tracks. When I build nano tanks, I use black technic liftarms, they're the best compromise of what's available out there. A better solution for Cobi would be new specialized nano sized track pieces, a 1x1 and 1x2 with specialized return /drive pieces at the ends that could be placed at the sides and have wheels sculpted into them. Start out with a couple of sizes, then make a few more as the line builds interest. Having a practical rolling wheel function wouldn't work but I don't think it would be necessary at this scale, just make sure they could glide around on the carpet for kid's play and you're good.
In my opinion, Pz. III is the best. T-34-85 looks weird. I don't undestand why they wouldn't use the same hull as T-34-76, they are the same in real life, after all.
My guess would be the turret. To properly distinguish the shape between the 76 and 85, the 85 is a much more unique shape. It’s a lot more rounded compared to the 76, so with the 76 you can get away with smaller pieces since it’s all just flat faces. Also with the gun size I believe. Just the scaling doesn’t quite line up with the pieces COBI uses ti build the sets.
@@GuardianOne24 yes, I know that, but the hull is the same, apart from T-34/85 having external barrel-like fuel tanks. The turret is much larger on T-34/85 and so is the gun.
Eieiei 🙈...
This line was a waste of resources for Cobi. Not much cheaper than the 1:48 sets and look terrible in comparison. I wonder if could've gotten additional few 1:28 sets instead of the time and resources spent on creating this line.

One thing 1:72 tanks did for sure - made 1:48 much more compelling
Still, 1:28 reigns supreme. No to mention 1:12, lol

If they had tracks, then they would be so much better...
They would have been too brittle
@@madmonsterbbb9131 And? It's not like you're gonna play with these tiny things. Also, the track of the Elefant is also brittle 🤣
I agree. Without tracks, they look incomplete.
Yes sir!
How about using a black rubber band?
cobi should really make a 1.28 scale of the T-34/76

The T-34-85 looks more like an IS-6 lol
The A7V is the only one I think looks good.
Only because it hides the fact that there are no tracks. But I agree, the WWI Toaster is the best.

Did you know, that on all of Panzers III/IV the turret is NOT IN THE MIDDLE, it's a little bit on the left side

Yeah, the lack of tracks really kills if for me. Cobi doesn't make 1 brick wide tracks?

Hi brick, how are you?
I asked a while ago if the wange vpk bumerang is coming?
They could have simply molded the tracks and wheels as a single piece of plastic with 4 roller wheels underneath.
the only thing that they lack are the tracks :/
It's sad that small tanks don't have tracks
It’s kinda weird that the t34 76 and the t34 85 have different hull even though in real life they have the same hull
Sure they could have done "rubber band" tracks 🤔
Without tracks ,these sets are pathetic. I suppose you could use 1/72 or 1/76 model tank tracks with a little bit of modification.
excuse me where you buy the seds
