I thought so too, but then they still did not call blatant fouls after this. Slaps that went straight over the forearms up to the shoulder, nowhere near the ball and stuff like that. Reffing is hard but you got to at least get the crazy fouls that everyone can see from miles away.

It might very well be the case that Scar's ball handling skills are so good that they make him prone to showing them off and he ends up taking bad shots when he can always get an easy layup (plus I mean, he's 20). I was going for him but tbh he didnt deserve to win this one

Keshon is a baller he was more poised under pressure and he made the big time shots. Scar got a little panic in him and failed to capitalize on his chances. Incredible matchup fr I enjoyed watching those games.

He’s probably really strong and he lets his game revolve around that so he don’t feel the need to jack up 3s, even with the space. I feel like it’s better to have Scar’s problem, however, than to be too scared to drive into the paint.

Yea cuz he keeps switching scenes and developing his game to that scene. Playing under the whistle 5v5 much different than this type of game. I used to not like him on a team cuz he held the ball and went iso the whole time (cuz that's his game). Thats why him and Kam got into it in the beginning
Scar’s game is fun to watch when he gets it going. But, right now, you can tell he doesn’t trust his shot and that’s holding him back. His shooting formed looks improved since going to JUCO and I’m sure he’ll keep working on it. He’s gonna be a problem when he gets a consistent jumper and has that type of handle and defense.

I think a lot of it also has to do with him playing college hoops. He’s not gonna risk injury for these 1 on 1s. But at the same time if he just lock in and score and stop the unnecessary moves, he can still be dominant without risking himself.
Got to be able to shoot. Especially in 1v1s. Clearly, scar doesn't trust his shot. Form is not bad at all. That's reps and confidence. Once he gets that, it's hard to beat in any matchup.

Imms be honest: I think Scar's defense could use a little help. I ain't saying it would have been easy to defend Keyshon, but Scar looked to be a little over-aggressive. The three he gave up on the pump-fake, drive to the left was one where, if he's not as flat-footed, he should get there every time. Not taking anything away from Keyshon, though. Played a great game.
Not really if anything Sar defense ant the problem what really kills him is that he likes to shoot and even if he can shoot when he go to rack he cant be stopped if he could consistently drive to the rime and not settle for shots he would be valid

Everyone is talking about Scar's jumpshot. I just wanna add...why was Scar so flat-footed on defense? Shouldn't he have been on the balls of his feet, especially when he's trying to press and be quick to react?
Offensively, even if Scar had a great consistent jumpshot, he still probably shouldn't have taken one single jumpshot. He could have drove and physically imposed on his opponent the whole time. He's bigger and stronger and has a better handle. Yeah his jumpshot let him down but he didn't need it in the first place.

Scar is a 6-foot point guard whose 3-ball is not respected. That’s very tough. He shot 28% from 3 this past season and 68% from the free throw line. That’ll be tough every game b/c opposition will immediately ice him baseline or go under the screen. He’s young and has plenty of time to strengthen his weaknesses though. A blessing. 🙏🏾
