Tech James, I have the system software 6.60 pro-B9, and i want to ask you what is the difference between this one and the 6.61 infinity. Is their any benefit in installing it.
Thank you so much I did this to my psp 3000 model amd it worked with the other cfw. I just got a pap go cheap and I thought why not it worked before. And u do such a wonderful job showing step by step. It worked flawlessly th so much. Your the boss
Actually, you should mention that this is outdated in the title maybe, I just found out and had to go through the process of downgrading back to 6.20, updating back to 6.61 and work on getting Infinity 2.0.3 onto my device..
Excellent tutorial !, It worked flawlessly for me. One thing to point out is that the PSP Go must have already the OFW 6.61 before start with the hack in order to work.
First, this is a great and well prepared video. The instructions are very clear (I don't get why people keep asking if they need to have the Sony 6.61 firmware, lol). Second, I've been installing the CFW in a bunch of PSP 3001 and 1001 and works like a charm. I got a PSP GO, N1001 and this is the outcome so far: - I upgraded to original 6.61, copy and follow everything and when I start the builder, it gives me this message: "Error 0xFFFFFFFE verifying 6.31 updater. Ensure updater is for the correct model, version and is stored in the correct place." - Following your instructions, after running the first updater and fast recovery, the firmware is as you show, 6.61 PRO-C. However, the error still coming up and not proceeding with the builder. I am copying the folders to the internal 16GB PSP GO Memory (I don't have one of the original Sony M2 Memory Stick Pro). Do you think that's the issue? I don't know what else can be. THANK YOU!!!
I just ordered an M2 4GB card to see if that is the problem. It should be here in 2 to 3 days so I will give you an update on this. If you think of anything else please feel free to let me know. Thanks.
IT WORKS! I'v been using the 6.60 Pro-C since FOREVER ago, and having to reset each time I boot or if the battery dies! I can't believe I'm this late to getting my GO Permanent CFW firmware!
works like a charm. On a side note, I tried getting 6.61 from Sony's support site and they only had the file for the non go psp's. This isn't really an issue since you can find it readily elsewhere but keep that in mind if you're looking for the newest patch
If anyone is having trouble with the software booting up correctly on the PSPgo, try and update the PSPgo to version 6.61 then go through this process. before i updated to version 6.61 it would boot up, then the screen would turn black and it would shut off my system. so just a heads up!
Thank you so much. I tried "PSP 6.61 Infinity Permanent CFW (LME & PRO) 2017 Tutorial!" For the PRO setup on my 3000 but it was way to confusing so I used this one and it was so easy thank yo SO MUCH!!!!!!!
I just received my psp go I bought today and was incredibly dissatisfied to see that the dude sold me a faulty unit cuz every time I plug it into my pc, it immediately pops up with the “battery depleted” type screen and then doesn’t turn on unless I put it on the charger and mess around with it. Completely unusable because I can’t load any games, music, updates, ect onto it because it cant even connect to anything… so annoying… wish me luck :/
Thank you! I could get a psp go with good conditions in my country for 60€ and this video made me successfully install CFW on my new PSP GO! The video was flawless!! Thank you very much!
Hi Tech James. I followed your steps but I'm running into a problem. I run the Pro update and then it installs and then when it tries to reboot to Pro-C my PSP crashes and shuts down. After i boot it up again and check my firmware it still says only 6.61 which means the CFW did not install. Please help
How's it going TJ? I haven't modded/hacked a single console or device in my life and still managed to successfully go through this whole process without a single issue. It really is as easy as it gets. Thank you for this. Purchased a 2000 rupees (30$) second hand psp go from olx dot in and now I'm retro gaming baby. Next project : Upgrading the storage to 128gb!
I followed the directions and got all the way to the final step. After restarting though it did not autoload. Is there some way I can troubleshoot the system so that it executes properly.
4 hours later and at 4:04 it still stays at 5% . After waiting 2 hours I assume it wasn't going to move. I redid everything you did and it still stays at 5%... Is there something I am missing?
Thank you, I have modded a PSP 2000 before but that was some years ago and a little simpler todo so this video was a great help for setting up my Go :)
So I need a CFW first to uninstall it and then install the new infinity one? What if I just start off with a plain unhacked 6.61 OFW PSP Go, your video is kind of unclear
If you think this is unclear don't bother reading the guide! as you can see (if you watched the video) i clearly deleted every file off the PSP before reinstalling LME, or PRO!
I never had a CFW on my PSP, so it irritates me, because you make it seem like you had to have an old CFW running on it before. what if no CFW installed -> simply copy files from zip?
Infinity breaks the pause feature when installed on a psp Go. (Sony's psp save state solution) if you care about it then try the 6.20 permanent patch with Pro B10, all the latest games work & it's permanent with the pause feature intact. Also, the pause feature works on iso games too. Pretty great feature to be missing out on!
This is really easy if you follow his steps carefully. Also, you don't need to update to 6.61 OFW first if you're on any other firmware. My PSPgo was on 6.39 OFW and I just used the 6.39 PRO-B to use the firmware builder and firmware flasher. After that your PSP will be on 6.61 infinity and you can use the Pro Update from his download link.
I get a error when trying to use infinity firmware builder. It stays at 1 percent and then gives a error code. I should not my psp didn't have cfw before . So idk if that's the reason. The pro cfw goes through however
Dude, I did the cfw 6.61 process with success. My PSX games are running normally, but when I run the PSP games, the game opens and stays on the black screen and then turns off the PSP. Help me !?
Mate im stuck at 5:30 cause after selecting PRO CFW by Coldbird you did not show what do we have to do? I select it and i saw a start on the left so that means i choice that its okay. After that move what do i have to do to get in that 5:31 screen so i can select quit? I cant get that screen. Waiting your answer asap.
followed this exactly, when i go to open the updater like you show on the psp it says sorry, does not support your firmware. Also when I click the firmware builder or anything else, it says data corrupted. Any help here? Still shows that I'm running system software 5.70
Hello, I know it is an old issue but i have a proble. I followed your instructions and everytyhins is ok but the psp stop running original games, can i do something?
says "error OxFFFFFFFE verifying 6.31 updater." I have PSP 3000, I followed watching step by step your PSP says [Model: 05g], my PSP is 03g in Mac address
I tried it on two different psp gos. Trouble is whenever a game tries to save and data (i.e. create a save file) it crashes/freezes, tried two different isos. Never had this issue with lite 6.60cfw. Any guide on how to downgrade to 6.60 so I can go back to something that works or fix these issues?
dude its not working for me cuz when i go to psp firmware update it said sorry this program dosen't support you can you explain it why dosent support it?
Great video, however everytime I go to use 'Pro Update, the system turns black like in your video than just turns off.. and nothing happens,, any idea?
I did this but I'm not sure that it's permanent because I tried to install the dayview plug-in and the sound booster plug-in and when I reset the vsh, the PSP go soft bricked. I removed the both plug-ins and the Cfw was gone. So I deleted the plug-ins again and never again will I do that again. After that I knew it wasn't permanent per say. But it's better than having to install Cfw after every shutdown.
Thanks, I tossed my go behind the couch a few months ago because I was having issues, just dug it back up and didnt have any problems with the video, thanks a ton
Was going so well and almost done with the process, was at the step to run the infinity flasher on the psp go and it errored. Had me hit x to continue and Brick! I also hear there isn't way to unbrick :(
If you watched the video, you would have noticed CIPL_flasher does not get used once, thats why i removed it, also this CFW does not "lag" the PSP GO. Chronoswitch is used to downgrade your PSP GO back to 6.61 Official, if you don't like Infinity.
My psp go already installed cfw version 6.20 PRO-B10 how do i upgrade it to 6.61, do i just upgrade it to OFW 6.61 first ?? And then follow ur guide ??
Hello ... I need a help! ... I can not create the file DATA.MFC (It gives a 93% error in the part of 6.61) ... Could you send me this file ?? ... THE DATA. MFC?
Quick question. I was able to install the firmware successfully and I just wanted to know if I could remove the folders that were used to install the custom firmware after the installation is complete?
I'm thinking about creating a back up file on my computer and moving the files on to their. If anything goes bad I'll let you know. I don't think the files are no longer needed because the firmware is permanently installed on the psp. Just replaced the battery with a new one last night.
Good Day everyone, how can i fix the pause game feature?, after i successfully updated to 6.61 infinity my pause game is no longer working, can somebody help me, Thanks
hey man thank you so much. even after 3 years still your video is the only option on the internet for PSP Go users. But I have a quick question for dummies like me; which folder for downlading the games is it "games" in PSP or seplugings in main menu?

I can explain it even more if u need some explanation. thankyou!!!
please help, where can i download the PSP GO 6.61 Infinity PRO CFW? The mediafire.com link has been suspended? I just recently got a GO and want to do some modding.
Hey man, so I followed your instruction to the tee, and get to the infinity symbol when I launch custom for last time... but when i reboot it just goes back to 6.61 infinity. Any help please? :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH, works like a charm no problems at all so easy tutroial so good soooo goood thnxs thnxssss.
Thanks! glad you could follow without any problems :D
Tech James why after turning off my psp my cfw is uninstalled? what should i do?
Get the LME version instead! just replace the PRO files with LME, see if that works!?
Tech James, I have the system software 6.60 pro-B9, and i want to ask you what is the difference between this one and the 6.61 infinity. Is their any benefit in installing it.
i lost resume play after this, so stay on 6.60 thats is what i am downgrading to
This was a really good tutorial. I couldn't get anything else to work via tutorial on the web. This worked the first time.
Thank you so much I did this to my psp 3000 model amd it worked with the other cfw. I just got a pap go cheap and I thought why not it worked before. And u do such a wonderful job showing step by step. It worked flawlessly th so much. Your the boss
Thank you Tech James. I've struggled for ages trying to work a permenant FW. I deleted the files after installation and it all works fine too :)
Absolutely amazing!
I didn't know permanent CFW was available for the Go
And this really simplified the process. Awesome job! :D
Actually, you should mention that this is outdated in the title maybe, I just found out and had to go through the process of downgrading back to 6.20, updating back to 6.61 and work on getting Infinity 2.0.3 onto my device..

I just recently found my old psp go and after following this it will defiantly get more use! Thanks!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This by FAR the best guide I've run across. Cheers! : 3
I deleted the other files after and it still works, for anyone who's wondering.
the resume doesn't work for me, I don't really use it tho so it doesn't bother me.
lost the resume function on mine as well on both of my psp go's.

I have the same problem now
@@aathreya2556 Performing the actions with Bluetooth off and removing the M2 card helped

Try pressing the select button if you haven't to get the VSH menu up
@@eazycloud44 thanks that was the step I was missing.

agree with attk, what if we had no CFW installed, you do not explain this
attk177 in the first part of the video he shows how to install a temporary CFW to make your image and flash it
So can someone please confirm? Do you need CFW on the PSP already to install this? How do I do this with a PSP with no cfw or anything on it?

can you still go online and download games from the store? I have games i purchased a long time ago that i would like to install
what if infinity bootloader configuration doesn't show up
in the folder I download there is no 661CIPL_flasher but chronoswitch. Also after I install the cfw the go is very slow and laggy
If you watched the video, you would have noticed CIPL_flasher does not get used once, thats why i removed it, also this CFW does not "lag" the PSP GO. Chronoswitch is used to downgrade your PSP GO back to 6.61 Official, if you don't like Infinity.
tried the procedure a few times. When I run the pro update the console reboots and is incredibly slow so that even menues need seconds to show.
So the problem was that in Pro Vsh Menu clock xmb was set to low instead of default. (press select in CFW and right till you don't see default).

Quick question. I was able to install the firmware successfully and I just wanted to know if I could remove the folders that were used to install the custom firmware after the installation is complete?
I'd like to know this as well, I don't like looking at the files lol
I’m here for the answer, too
I'm thinking about creating a back up file on my computer and moving the files on to their. If anything goes bad I'll let you know. I don't think the files are no longer needed because the firmware is permanently installed on the psp. Just replaced the battery with a new one last night.
From what i've read, you can delete them all, but it is a good idea to keep the recovery one just incase anything goes wrong with your build
TheGreenBoy how did it go? did you delete folder? any issue encountered?
After full mod,i want to delete or hide the files from game section,is this possible?
how can i go back to 6.60? deleting memory and reseting device doesn't work.
You need the "Chronoswitch Downgrader" basically just google it!
