And that’s how they close a nearly three- hour show with a 30-song set list. Can you imagine still having the energy to pull that off at the end of the night? These guys were just amazing live. Cheers!

saw this concert twice - about 10th row both times. Melted my face off. 1 of them was 2 concerts after this recording- such an amazing finale to 3+ hours of Rush genius.

Working Man was the song that put Rush on the musical map. It all started when Donna Halper, former music director for radio station WMMS in Cleveland, brought in a copy of their debut album and put it on while she went for a bathroom break; Cleveland was mainly a factory town in the 1970s, so the lyrics instantly resonated with the listeners, and then they caught the attention of Mercury Records, who signed them to their first record deal. BTW, that section that they played at the end is from the first part of Cygnus X-1, an epic two-piece 30-minute masterpiece that I think you'll like; Book 1 is the closing track on their 1977 album A Farewell To Kings, and Book 2 is the opening track on their 1978 album Hemispheres. Have a lovely evening and Rush on!

Nice to see the Island Girl is back on the Rush. Rush basically ceased to be in 2015 when drummer Neil Peart's tendonitis made it too painful for him to perform to his very high standards. Unfortunately, Neil died from brain cancer in early 2020. I'd recommend a reaction to Neil Peart's drum solo (Der Trommler)🥁from Rush's R30 Tour at Frankfurt, Germany from 2004.🤯

Just to add, people phoned the station in Cleveland thinking they were listening Led Zepplin. lol....I never thought the 2 sounded anything alike and I'll take Rush anytime.

Considering that at the time of this concert, they've been playing that song for close to 40 years. It was a great decision they made to change it around and have fun with it (... and really show off their ability!!) It was a relatively simple Rush song when it was first released.

This is my favorite live version different than the original which they wrote as teenagers but just as good. Alex is insane during that solo. If you look at the stage lights they are red, yellow and green during the reggae section to represent Canada and Jamaica and bright white when they make the transition to rock. 😊

I saw them about 15 times between 1982 and the mid 90s-- each time more amazing than the last.

@@grahamkey8496 well, in the 80s and 90s, I was young -teens/20s. Plenty of free time, and money was strictly fur having fun. I went to hundreds and hundreds of concerts-- Rush was always my favorite. Life happened, other priorities came up, and concerts became much more expensive. I always wanted to see Rush again.

Hi! Yes!!! So much sound from 3 individuals! As great as lead singer, Geddy Lee & drummer Neil Peart (who some consider the best ever) are, I believe that guitarist Alex Lifeson is underrated. A lot of people don't mention him. He's an amazing guitar player!

First concert I went to was Rush in 1981 in Dallas. I was 14. My friend's brother stayed in line all night to get tickets to the concert (that's how it was done back then) & we got 2nd row, right in front of Alex Lifeson (guitarist). It cost $10. I had the best time. Saw them again in 2012 in Dallas, but it wasn't 2nd row & it wasn't $10.

Island boy that stumbled across you for Rush. Love so much of the reactions you have done. Searched your reviews and noticed you have never done Beth Hart, you will love her, may i suggest Beth Hart "Am I The One" live at Paradiso? You can thank me later.. 😂 will get you lots of subscribers if you take a dive down the Beth Hart 🐇 🕳! Especially from Europe.

They did this song in 2015 live when I saw them in fl almost the same way from what I remember. I was astonished how the tempo raised, and I turn to the person next to me, who wasn't a rush fan, his friend gave him the ticket. I was elated with a smile on my face, why would I expected him to be all excited, basically I don't think he cared one way or the other lol, great reaction. try vapor trails on the studio lp same title sometime. no one usually does this song I kinda understand from different angles why but the chorus has a freeing effect in your soul like a lot of rush also. Try yyz live in Rio if u haven't already, Another great popular song I saw that live in 2003 blessed to have seen them, well wishes to u and yours

I always felt like the early material of Rush like this song was not as good (bland, too predictable) as the later more progressive stuff
