      Agreed! Those are amazing! I’m scared to build them myself because of my inexperience with carpentry/home improvement and how much weight (and investment!) will be on each shelf. But the cost of having them built by a handiman is really making me consider it. I live in SoCal, so we would need include a strap of some sort in the front of each shelf, in case of earthquakes too.

    New subscriber here! I really enjoyed your pantry tour!. You were very encouraging to everyone. Plus, I enjoyed your canning book reviews. I’ve been on the fence about buying the Complete Home Canning book. I have several of the others. I have been WB and pressure canning many years.

    Great Video you have a lovely pantry! Looking forward to more videos and if you haven't canned chicken or beef stew meat you have to try. It is so comforting to have meat on your shelf for quick week night meals.

    I wonder if that cranberry ketchup would work well in those recipes that call for cranberry sauce or grape jelly & ketchup in a crockpot with meatballs or cocktail weenies? Seems like those are at every Fall/Winter event as an appetizer (and I’m never sad to see them!). Or to glaze a pork roast or meatloaf?

      Yes! They go in a water bath. They are good on salads and even rice mixes. It was definitely something fun to make, and a treat to have!

    Your from Jersey, I am from Philly. That being said, people like me can't afford Freeze Drier or Dehydrator, and come back to the land God gave us, you can use all the you think are organic but yet you rely on containment rain water in between. In Jersey maybe you have well water I just came across your channel, but I like the small recipe for me. I don't have the fancy Pantry like you and in an old house not able, I do me, but thanks for the tips. Oh and the hand signal if Freemason in the beginning total turn off. So Sad.

    • @thisjerseygirlshome
      @thisjerseygirlshome  27 днів тому +1

      I'm glad you liked one of the recipes. I understand not everyone can afford to have the equipment I have. I didn't always have it either. I have saved a lot of money from growing food and could then put it towards those purchases. I'm very unfamiliar with your hand signal and freemason comment. I am definitely not associated with whatever that is, I just move my hands a lot when I talk. I hope you will enjoy future videos.

    • @suzyeaton1577

      Are you a Freemason because that is a man only organization. Woman are not Freemasons. Nor are they shared the secret signals. I suggest you refrain from suggesting such things. Enjoy what you can and remember the adage if you have nothing nice to say say nothing at all. Sage advice in the internet world.
      In lieu of dehydrators a low setting on the stove and bake works I personally have no interest in freeze drying it’s not for everyone.
