Speaking of us potentially knowing more than you: I probably mentioned this at some point already, but you used to be able to make Freya unkillable for a try. By healing her with warmth inbetween slapping the heads you can keep her alive, but the partdamage doesn't get healed. This lets you break both heads, resulting in her no longer having any spots you can hit without bouncing off. The only way out was to bonfire/quit out or die. Seen a handful of trolls do this in the vanilla days. No idea if it's still possible.

There was a similar glitch in ds3 where mad summons (the purple covenant) could join you in boss fights and then turn on you and fight you with the boss
8:21 you can acually get the black scorpion stinger if you kill him, he one of those npc that give you items under certain conditions but you can buy them from the old lady if you kill them early, like that scam cleric woman, if you kill her, her set is available to be buyed from the old lady, this way you dont need to level up your faith to get the set.
Dark Souls 2, sadly the game that fixed Ricard's Rapier. Back in Dark Souls 1 the strongest spell was Magic Weapon on Ricard's Rapier, the R2 would deal over 2k damage easy because the full damage of the buff would apply to every individual hit of Ricard's Rapier's R2.

If I recall correctly, you can farm a 2nd Ricard's Rapier. It's either a rare drop from the spiders in brightstone or the lemurs outside Aldia's Manor. Those two mobs have a surprising variety of drops.
Funny thing is after playing the trilogy I never payed attention to war-arts until after elden ring. I went back and did NG+ versions of the trilogy. The war arts to ricsrds rapier in DS2 is the best of the 3

the basilisk in the hole where you got the rapier has a guaranteed drop of 3 large titanite shards every time you kill him. you can farm him from the bonfire on the other side of the tree you knock over to make a bridge.

I believe Craighton said they were traveling companions once until Pate locked him in a cell and stole a ring from him. Ever since Craighton's been hunting down Pate. Though it's heavily implied that Craighton is a serial killer and that the uniform of Mirrah he wears isn't actually his.

Yeah man the cat ring is so expensive. I did some quick testing - you can survive the fofg jump with 13 VGR and Saulden's ring, from a deprived start this is less than 5000 souls spent on levelups. To survive the gutter fall you need to be 26 VGR which can still be cheaper than the cat ring - AND you get a ton of extra health. Just speeds things up :)
Just for future reference, you take more damage when you roll down the pit as opposed to walking off the edge slowly, if you have lots of momentum going off the edge it carries you through the air longer and you take more damage. Really not that big of a deal really, but nothing wrong with knowing I guess.
I dont know if you see the other comments but you actually can get another ricard's rapier on brightstone cove on the spiders its a rare drop (Sorry if my english is bad)
About the scorpion dude, if you kill him the life Gems lady will sell the weapon, she sell equipment from dead NPCs, that is also where she gets her unlimited supply of life Gems, she loot corpses ...still remember my first time reading life Gems description and wondering how the fuck a old lady get those things, then I remembered that she also sell stuff from dead people and everything made sense.

You should do a run using the Eleum Loyce, it's a really unique weapon that can actually go through 100% shields and will heal you
Still waiting for some more Elden Ring content before the DLC drops or a Lost Sinner sword build for DS2.😁
