These ladies asked the correct questions. We have to deal with the same thing in the U.S. regardless of race & cultures; but yeah, Asian can be a tough nut to crack even if the languages and both cultures are comprehended. As women & men we all want and need to know that our potential significant other is gonna have our back and put someone in check, even if it's family or friends or whomever if they come out their mouth wrong or give a bombastic side eye. Dating & marriages outside race was common in my family. In a way I was fortunate to grow up with that first hand. I've gone out all sorts, including Korean a couple times (they, and other races too, broke my heart. But both Korean and one Japanese guy was over their parents. The cowardice killed me. I "think" they loved me. Or the idea of me. But that wasn't love. Just an ego boost for him. Like a "trend"). My late husband (I was a young widow), whom was Caucasian ,British & fluent in French, was my rock and ALWAYS had my back. He never swore or was vulgar and still put one of my older sisters in her place when she was out of line with me and she was verbally abusive, but he was still calm and respectful at the same time towards her. After that she told me and my Michael that she had even more respect for him. Not everyone could put my sis, Ann, in her place... but he did. My family though majority are African~American, almost looks like the U.N.: German, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Church of England, non-practicing, Puerto Rican and lgbt. It comes down to mutual love and Respect and stepping up for each other against anyone regardless who. Bon chance to the ladies and to the guy as well.

Understand that this was his first interaction with black women for the purpose of dating. There is a language barrier so perhaps he could not put it more elegantly but point of the matter was that he was honest. Not everybody wants to go head in challenging relationships where they would have to fight everyone around them. And unlike other ‘people’ that fetishise us either for being ‘light skin’ or look ‘exotic’, either because they want to ‘experiment’, this guy not only told the truth straight up, (but whether we like it or not), it is the outmost normative for their society. I also applaud the girls for knowing their worth and walking off. They all seemed really sweet and will find the type of guys that will go the extra mile with them.

I'm starting to see a change in relationships between Korean and Black people. A LOT of Black women are in love with K-dramas, including me. There are Black women groups dedicated to K-dramas and who our favorite actor/actresses/programs are (Lee Byung Hyun and Kim Nam-gil being two of my absolute favorites). We dream of going to SK. We love the food and even share recipes. Some of us have even picked up a little of the language. As for the Korean side, I'm seeing more interracial/international relationships between Korean men and Black women. I wonder if there is a shift that is happening, where we are looking outside of the box to find love. IMO, that's a beautiful thing. This was really cute, and they are all beautiful young people.
So everyone in the comments were saying how these women were being used and humiliated trying to get his approval, but I don't see it that way. It was one man being shown that there are 6 girls here willing to hear him out, and being physically shown that these girls will not tolerate certain things, will not change certain things about themselves, and knew their worth. They left, knowing that, "he will not fight for me", "he will not move with me if I have to", "he has a bad image about African culture with the worms comment". If anyone was humiliated, I'd say the guy who had 6 women there and none would stay with him by the end.
Interesting concept~ Very sad that so many people still allow parents to control their love life. I think that is one of the main things you should fight for in your life. Now if everyone is saying that person is a big red flag, that's different. You should run from them 😂
am mad at two girls who were still sitting there after he says he will give up if his parents are not ok '(which i really understand ahah i would probably do same)... but girls you need to reconize giant red flag
I am not even asian and I agree with them. I love my parents very much and I trust their decisions to not follow it. I mean they would never have a problem with another race, but just saying family bonds matter for many. It s not about pressure, it s about bonds and trust that they want my best

This was so interesting to watch. He is seriously my type in looks but I completely understand why the girls left. There has to be some love and compromise in relationships or it’s not real. I hope he doesn’t take this experience and decides he never wants to date a black woman. 😂😂😂
I cringed so bad when he was saying he can accept African culture unless he has to eat worms 💀💀 You can tell he only knows a stereotype of Africa… and I guess he just forgot Koreans eat silkworm pupae 😂
I know it’s how things are done and his culture kids would most likely listen to their parents. I am really glad I don’t have that type of situation I make my own choices whatever makes me happy. Respectfully, I respect how honest he was with the questions and answers, and I agree with all the girls walk away because it makes no sense investing in some thing when it could end at any moment because, the parent or a friend or whatever object to the relationship, but I think parents should just make their kids do them whatever make them happy, because their choice might not be the best choice for their kids and that’s why some of them end up cheating or not happy with who they end up with because they’re trying to please their parents
I like how the French girls use ethnicity instead of race. If people were from different races, their children would be barren... Biologically speaking, race is not accurate to describe humans.
I get what you mean but it's mostly cultural. in French (and most European) culture, the concept of race is dismissed since on a biological scale, it's not accurate or true. That's why they use ethnicity or nationality instead. However in American culture, due to their past and History, the concept of race is still deeply embedded in their culture and still feels relevant to distinguish people. By race, Americans are not referring to a biological race but to a social/societal one. It implies a society in which racism exists and in which a race has its own (sub)culture and history.
Yes it's very cultural, I am French and we consider the word race as very offensive, an insult as we all belong to the same race. I am always shocked to hear it haha
I don't wanna watch the video but it's very true now that I think about it lmao Even the most racist never use the terms of race (most of the time can't say for everyone) will never use the race, only ethnicity 😅
I have so many questions, like why did he even agree to do this? These guys know they are not going to commit to dating or marrying a black girl, so why waste her time? Those who really marry us are committed to the end. And I've seen UA-cam channel with those types of marriages. The Asian parents didn't approve, but they stayed with the woman they loved and the parents learned to accept her in the end. I'm 67, been attracted to Asian men since my high school days. It breaks my heart to see how we can be attracted to them, but they can't have that same attraction for us.
This is not unique to Korea. There are many parents that would not approve of their children having a relationship with someone “different”. Whether that “difference” is religion (example how many Muslims will date non Muslims, and how many Muslim parents would accept their son/daughter marrying a non Muslim, and possibly their child converting to another religion in order to marry that person. I’m going to guess there would not be many that would accept it). Whether that difference is race/ethnicity/tribe etc. Even in some African countries your parents will not approve of marrying someone from the “wrong” tribe……or in India some parents will not approve if the person is from the “wrong” caste……. Or they may not approve of an age difference, or because of some shady things in a person’s past, or they may not approve of their child marry someone that has been married & divorced before, or that already has children from a previous relationship (or multiple kids from multiple previous partners). They are some religious people/cultures that don’t even want their child marrying someone that is not a virgin. People around the world, of all races, of all ethnicities, of all cultures can have expectations and “rules” of what they think is a union worth blessing or will oppose for many different reasons. This is not unique to Korean/Asian parents. Relationships between different cultures, different religions, different languages, different nationalities, long distance etc can be challenging. But ALL relationships come with different challenges. It comes down to how much do the two people love each other, and what are they willing to do to keep that relationship going……like she said……”Will they fight for it?”
I wonder why he took part in this knowing his parents would disapprove of a relationship with a black girl. He was honest to the end so I’m a little sad for him that all the girls left, but they made the right choice. Disapproving parents are a dealbreaker, especially if you can’t stand up to them.
I'm acutally so surprised to see Peris here. The only reason i clicked on this video. Kinda over these videos. There are 6 Women and 1 man lol BUT i'm glad Mary got to meet the other women since she is so new to Korea.
Yikes! Lol 😅 They were right for leaving though. If they’re dating for marriage, what is the point if he won’t fight for them if his parents disagree… But I do like that he was honest and genuine. It’s better than leading people on. Even though he can’t fight for his love against his parents, I just hope his cultural exposure will keep him from getting in the way of his future children’s love if they happen to date outside their race. Solving prejudice one generation at a time I guess.

I think he is representative of most Korean men when it comes to black women. The image of black people in the media is very positive. Black women shouldn’t bother trying to date Korean men in Korea. It’s a waste of time. Go for well travelled men who live outside of the country and have the courage of their convictions. Honestly, with Asian men I think that is hard to find.
I dated 2 Asian guys with no problem from their parents, but these guys predominantly dated black women, so their parents already knew their girlfriend would be black. I wouldn't date a guy long term that would hide me from his parents...but honestly, if the parents are racist, I wouldn't want him to fight for me, cuz I am going to leave him anyway, I wouldn't want to be involved in that kind of unnecessary drama. Life's too short, go where you are worshiped.

It's good to know that these women know what they are looking for in a male counterpart and not compromising for less. I think some would have left earlier, but they just wanted to see where he was coming from after hearing he was dating only Asians only.
I mean you can't blame them all for leaving because if you're not going to fight for me then there's no point in us being together. Especially if marriage and children are on the table. Because when you get married you're supposed to cleave to one another as one flesh and everyone else becomes secondary so if your parents still can tell you what to do then you don't need to be getting married
At least he was honest but with the adversity a black partner or interracial relationship would face there...folding on your principals is foundationally unstable doesn't matter if it's your parents or not if it's just based on prejudice or racism. If you're in love, it's your life not your parents or anyone else's. The fact he was shocked was funny. Why would they want to be with you? 😂
Young koreans are gonna do themselves in with this mentality of allowing pressure from parents control their existence and this is not about black girls. Almost every decision they make revolve around what people will say. I enjoy their dramas but I've learned to just be entertained and ignore the aspects of it that i find ridiculously fake cos i know for a fact that they are NOT open minded

I love that all of the girls left for genuinely good reasons. To me, it sounds like he would be better off dating a Korea or Asian girl. Cause he’s not interested in fighting for his love or anything like that. He also seems to have some misunderstandings about African culture.
I understand both the girls and the guy's points. They all did great, and honest and good conversation
I want a guy to leave because of he, himself thinks I am not okay but I don't want him to leave me because his parents think I am not okay. I get that one must respect his parents but hmmmmmmm it is too much if they choose the person I must spend the rest of my life with

My fist gf was exactly like me (white upper-middle Swedish), and that failed horribly. My second was the daughter of a Thai rice farmer (subsistence farming) . She is now my wife of 11 years. And she “wears the trousers” in our marriage (Swedish saying, if the wife wears the trousers, she is the boss)
How many questions do you really need to ask before you understand that he will sleep with you but never commit to you..even if he tries to convince himself that’s what he is doing. It was painful to watch, he’s a cutie though.

My parents are also VERY conservative saying i should marry only men from my culture but if life happens and i fall inlove with someone that isn't from my culture, My parents WILL have to accept them.

This podcast is so nice because it deals with real black girls dating Korean guys/ Oppas and their questions relating to true emotions. Almost every culture loves African American music and swag 😎 and I love me some pretty girl Moon 💗 Black people life style grows on everybody around the world 🌍 but racism is taught by certain people who destroy other peoples' land and culture 👍 only to keep the humble and the weak separated from true love and acceptance. And the black women is who teaches the black guys how to cook, sing and dance in their householes🫰 The black women of the past are virtuous women and great teachers of TRUE LOVE and family values❤❤❤ ❤️❤

My black sistas are so beautiful!!
I like how Trudi said, "because of love, she could sacrifice." Meanwhile this guy has no plans of doing such. 😭
Well at least he was honest with everything he said
I am not even asian and I agree with them. I love my parents very much and I trust their decisions to not follow it. I mean they would never have a problem with another race, but just saying family bonds matter for many. It s not about pressure, it s about bonds and trust that they want my best

Giro needed Chinese and Japanese women! Absolutely a waste of the ladies’ time! I’m a bit shocked that Trudi sat there the whole time! Any man who does plastic surgery on their face will not sacrifice a darn thing for anyone😂😂😂😂
I think Trudi found him very attractive. That’s probably why she stayed.
Wait he did PS on his face?
Guys remember with this culture family values mean alot especially whenever choosing a wife or husband parent opinion acceptance play a vital role if theyre not open minded so one have to respect other cultures custom.

The *BANANA* on *FIRE* got me laughing 😂😂😂😂😂
First Tanzanian im seeing in korean videos for real.......very nice...🇹🇿
Well, he doesn't any of those girls. Sorry to say but the girls deserves someone better 😌 It is the right thing to walkout 😂
I don't wanna watch the video but it's very true now that I think about it lmao
Even the most racist never use the terms of race (most of the time can't say for everyone) will never use the race, only ethnicity 😅

Is it me or does anyone recognize Mary from V's tiny desk performance?

I wonder why he took part in this knowing his parents would disapprove of a relationship with a black girl. He was honest to the end so I’m a little sad for him that all the girls left, but they made the right choice. Disapproving parents are a dealbreaker, especially if you can’t stand up to them.
It's not for real. They're paid for this.
As an old brother, I would feel totally disrespected to see my blood beloved sister among 5 ladies for 1 dude.
I'm acutally so surprised to see Peris here. The only reason i clicked on this video. Kinda over these videos. There are 6 Women and 1 man lol BUT i'm glad Mary got to meet the other women since she is so new to Korea.

That was good. They should not have left him. You don't know what real love will give you the strength to do until you are in that situation.
Yikes! Lol 😅
They were right for leaving though. If they’re dating for marriage, what is the point if he won’t fight for them if his parents disagree…
But I do like that he was honest and genuine. It’s better than leading people on.
Even though he can’t fight for his love against his parents, I just hope his cultural exposure will keep him from getting in the way of his future children’s love if they happen to date outside their race.
