Not all could actually relate to Julia. Filipinos have this weird perception of someone being simply classy or speaks English as unnatural or "maarte". The more I went on my immersion trips, I learned that poor Filipinos love to support whoever they feel they could relate to. They're more drawn to celebrities that act and speak like them. However to Filipinos who were born on household with English as their first language and are born with a bit of luxury, then Julia is probably the person they could most relate to or Heart Evangilista or Niki Gil. At the end of the day, it's really the character and choices they make that makes them who they are.
