I love their chemistry! The interviews between those two are really funny, but serious as well. I like to hear Paul in interviews many years later, but he was definitely much more funnier in the 80's.
Ahh the 80's. When people didn't take everything too seriously and you could say what you wanted. I miss my youth from that point. Been a KISS fan since '76. Truck on. Rock out. 🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛
I was born in 1974, and I grew up in a roller rink. Asylum is a childhood memory, like all the other pre-Crazy Nights KISS releases. Roller King in Modesto, California. They were all still strong in popularity alongside Crazy Nights. That was my first CD when CDs were new, also. I was in 7th grade in 1987, now a teenager. And that roller rink set my tastes in music. KISS I will forever remember as the background music to my childhood that kept me impressed. Kept us "Alive!"
Wow, is this video now 'dated'. I never saw this interview in 1985, and if I had I would have considered it 'ultimate cool' at the time. The Asylum Tour should have been a 'lost cities' tour, places not played by KISS on the Dynasty, COTN or Lick It Up tours. Probably a time when the axis of decision-making for KISS became Paul Stanley's portfolio.
He had a lot of outside help. They discuss in this interview some of the songwriters who penned several of their big hits, and you have killer guitarists like Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick who elevate the band musically too. But yeah Paul became the leader.
I thought unmasked cover was pretty creative but I do agree asylum cover was lazy and lame. the loud neon colors made the cover look dated. and the red, purple, green, and blue lips was a just a silly nod to the solo albums that Bruce and Eric were never a part off.
Back when MTV was the best network on cable television
Totally agree. World Premiere Videos….interviews like this…the concerts they would broadcast…all of it was awesome.
When Gene isn't around Paul really seems down to earth during interviews.
I met Paul once and he was the nicest dude ever.

He was. He seems all about money now. This Paul stanley was the best
I think he was even too funny. You could hardly get any serious comment from Paul in the 80s 🙂
I remember thinking that Paul was the coolest person on the planet back then.
Paul I bet was living a great life

🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛
You are spot on. This is a great interview. Would never happen today…it would be edited down to nothing. During this time, MTV ruled.

Paul has always been a good-looking dude. He had awesome hair for the 80s.
Wow....the things we missed. Sweet Martha thrown for a few loops! Thanks for preserving.
I love her professionalism, this is a very good interview.
Yes, Martha was a great interviewer. All of the original VJ’s were. Was an amazing time.
Martha Quinn was always such a cutie, she tries so hard to be professional and that just makes her even cuter
Did Paul get any from her I wonder? 🤔😉
This man❤
Martha is really blushing.
Love you Paul
Paul is/was a free, bohemian spirit.❤❤❤
Look at that cheeky smile 😁
Thanks for saving it and uploding it
I love his hands❤❤❤
Damn, I miss these days.
Me too, I was young, sort of rich, and free ! I always wondered if Paul ever got anything from this cute honeybun?
Miss the old days.
I remember these days! MTV was so great then! The chemistry is definitely there between them!
man. Martha was adorable back then.
He’s such a flirt 😂
LOVE IT!! Paul with "America's Girlfriend."
Que guapísimo Paul! Tan bello!😍❤️🔥
I’ve only two Kiss songs from Asylum like Tears Are Falling, Who Wants to Be Lonely and Uh! All Night. They were pretty cool!
So cool
Wow, Paul is a tough Guy🤟🤩
COOL !!!
0:44 does anyone know what Martha says to Paul here ?? - it's too vague for me
She says, "Do you see the pictures that we have?"
@@wonderhamskissvideos thank you so much - I've rewinded it 50 times to understand it but couldn't - truly appreciated
She totally wants him.
Pretty sure these two got together...
I can't begin to count the joints I smoked watching MTV between 1981 and 1995

Paul so sexy when he said uh❤❤❤❤
Paul basically saved the band back then, while Gene was off making movies and tv

The sexual chemistry is strong here , wonder if it happened, great interview
They did go on a date together. Martha Quinn said that they went BOWLING together on their date.
The sound could be adjusted, otherwise great video
She can't keep her hands off him😮
😂😂😂
On a side note, KISS wore face paint, not makeup...
They wore makeup in the 80s. Paul's wearing it here, no doubt.
War Paint! 😉
Facepaint is makeup
even kiss calls it makeup lol
He wearing eye liner?
Paul’s cringe joke turned her off instantly
You see her at the very end?
At 16 I thought he was cool, at 62, this was friggin embarrassing to the 9th degree!
He should of married her
I’m sure Paul cringes every time he sees this video
Their worst album cover ever second only to unmasked
I thought unmasked cover was pretty creative but I do agree asylum cover was lazy and lame. the loud neon colors made the cover look dated. and the red, purple, green, and blue lips was a just a silly nod to the solo albums that Bruce and Eric were never a part off.
I thought it was good. I didn't think much of the Revenge album cover, or the Creatures cover, because it had Ace on the cover instead of Vinnie.
@@chrisstory563 Absolutely dated NOW but all that color on the cover fit perfectly at the time (mid 80s).
In my opinion, the Hot in the shade cover was much, much worse...
Cringe
Martha Quinn was such a cutie pututie back in the day
