Love your review. Chance Eau Fraiche EDT was my first Chanel fragrance when I got into this journey, & I still love it despite getting into many other Chanels. Unlike most, I actually prefer it in the winter. I think the "sparkling" effect shines and stands out even more in cool weather. Sometimes I just love a good quality, high performing freshie in the winter to cleanse the palate. My partner has also complimented me on this fragrance. I will have to test out the EDP.
Thanks for this informative review! I used to like wearing Chance Eau Fraiche in the body spray form as it also has the smell of skincare, body lotion, kind of like the Nivea soft cream, so you smell and feel like you just applied body moisturiser, not perfume, lovely for summer
Oh Chance! This perfume evokes a lot of scent memories as it was a gift from my mother when I was a teenager. I don't wear it anymore though. Chance Eau Fraiche EDT however, I still like to spritz on a very hot day. I agree that it might appeal to a younger male audience too. I have tryed the Eau Fraiche EDP and didn't care for it. I found it to be somehow "too much". Thank you for the video!
I just bought it, now is autumn, I was not sure to buy it, but I like this freshness and clean smell. This parfum remember one that my father gave to me when I was 12 years.
I love both versions! They are still very chic, elegant, and clean! I have tried a lot of new releases from Designer brands this year. A lot of them were just okay or total lack of creativity or uniqueness. Chanel did a nice one there. Better than so many new perfumes. I am saying well done! But wait and see. A lot of people will warm up to it next Spring. Perhaps Chanel should have waited the end of this year to release it on the market. Maybe the timing was not the right one.
A friend used to wear Chance Eau Fraiche in Summer and it had a very beautiful sillage. Today I’m wearing Chance Eau Vive (the blood orange one) which is very versatile. Beautiful on a cold winter day. And can definitely be worn by a man.
Love your take on the Chance range! Have you heard of the re-bottling and re-release of Cristalle EDP? I just found out today, and the bottle is now going to look like current No 5 EDP and No 19 EDP. Maybe it's gonna be reformulated as well, but surely not the same as before.
Thank you for yet another beautiful review. Will need to resmell this one. IMHO Ostens Impression Patchouli no 1 is the chique Angel. I don’t love Angel.
Dear Dariusz! Thank you for your interesting review. Now here's my story as far as the Chance Eau Fraiche EdP is concerned. 😊 I was travelling to Warsaw a few days ago and out of sheer reisefieber and joyful excitement I decided to celebrate this trip with the newest Chanel. ( I do not buy a new scent every time I travel but this trip was special) So I went to the perfume store at Berlin main station, spritzed a bit( not too much) of the EdP onto my arms and immediately loved it. I waited and still liked the way it performed on my skin. It was then later on the train when this persistent nauseating headache began and lasted...for 5 hours. I don't get sick on trains or any other transport, so 🤷 It must have been the Chance Eau Fraiche EdP. Can you imagine how disappointed I was??? Maybe I'll be able to return it on my way back? ( goes without saying that I have NOT opened the box😂) Pozdrawiam 😊
I’m sorry to read this, but thanks for sharing the story. I suppose the headache could have been caused by a few different things, but if you feel you need to return the bottle, I hope they accept it. Thanks for watching.
@Persolaise Thank you for answering. So nice of you! I've tested the EdP again today. I wanted to be sure whether it's the scent or something else that caused my headache . I refuse to give up on this beauty! 😊
I purchased the edt a month ago, and find it fresh, uplifting and pleasing, but rather close to sitrus cleaner. The edp (tried at an airport) came across as rounder, more floral and also pleasing and nice. Tried mixing Chance edt and Eau Fraiche edt the other day. Liked it very much, - made 67 years old me feel fresh and elegant.
Will you be doing another Penhaligans one… there is something about this brand that fascinates me. Also myre amd tonker jo malone ?? Just started following you. Very peaceful and relaxing and I am learning so much
The original Chance EDT was my signature scent for a long time. I still love it but i got bored after a while. The Eau Fraiche i like but not enough to purchase it.
Personally… I prefer the original edt. I wish the edt was a bit stronger, but I adore the freshness of it. Bought it when it first came out in 2007 and never been without a bottle since. Love it!
Love Chanel Eau Tendre, this one not so much. Dear Dariusz, can you please suggest some nice cacao fragrances? No gourmand sweet milk chocolate, but a grown-up deep cacao fragrance? Not sure what to pair it with except vanilla and maybe cloves and cedar and leather maybe? Styrax? Point is, it's doable so someone must have done it.
Have you ever smelled blue lotus oil? Often goes under the radar bc its not a traditional perfume and not used in perfumes that ive ever seen, but a beautiful scent
A Chanel representantive told me that Chance has surpassed Mademoiselle and is number one in women's fragrance sales. I smelled the new Chance and is very generic but immensely fresh. It does not scream Chanel and it feels like a "safe perfume." Very banal. I agree with you it reminds me of Aqua Allegoria.
My mother still loves the entire Chance line. I appreciate Chanel as a house but ever since covid I can't tolerate any of their citrus notes. So weird.
I really like the original Chance. Have worn the edt for years and now have the edp. Easy to wear and lovely. I can’t abide Coco Mademoiselle . Far too strong
I think that is true. I actually wear CM or Eau Premiere when I want to wear something non offensive but still interesting. I haven't been moved by anything in the Chance line.
There are several flankers of that perfume... A flanker to a flanker. ;-) I've never been a fan. And this was no exception. Very underwhelming for me. It felt very synthetic to me. I'm not a fan of fruity synthetics. I wish I smelled the sparkling citrus notes. I liked the youthful idea of the perfume...but not the result. ;-)

Hi !!! I wore chance au de toilette and chance au frache for years. I think both are amazing, very elegant and beautiful Perfumery
Good to know -- thank you.

Interesting. Thanks very much for watching.

Good point. Perhaps the edt is more sparkling. Thanks for watching.

Enjoy wearing it.

Interesting you should say that, because I think the big launch is actually coming next year. They've just done a 'quiet' launch so far.

I'm thinking more and more they need to do a Chance Pour Homme.

No, I hadn’t heard of this. Somewhat worrying.
Thank you for yet another beautiful review. Will need to resmell this one. IMHO Ostens Impression Patchouli no 1 is the chique Angel. I don’t love Angel.
And thank YOU for watching.

That’s so kind - thanks very much. I expect there’ll be more Penhaligon’s videos in the future.
Thank for a surprisingly nuanced and interesting review of a perfume I was completely not interested in 😂 Now I want to try it.
That's so kind -- thanks for watching!
The original Chance EDT was my signature scent for a long time. I still love it but i got bored after a while. The Eau Fraiche i like but not enough to purchase it.
Fair enough.

From memory, the edt does sparkle a lot more.

Have you tried Anima Dulcis from Arquiste?
@@Persolaise No, will do, thank you! Now wearing Orchidée Vanille which is supposed to have chocolate.
I actually love the Chance line. My favourite happens to be Chance Eau Vive!
Ah, excellent. I must remind myself of that one, actually.
Have you ever smelled blue lotus oil? Often goes under the radar bc its not a traditional perfume and not used in perfumes that ive ever seen, but a beautiful scent
No, I'm afraid I haven't.
Thanks for watching.

Thanks very much for watching. That’s interesting that it’s selling better than CM.
@@Persolaise I was shocked too
I have gifted this to my Hubby ❤ definitely more on the masculine side.
Ah, interesting. Thanks for letting me know.
@@Persolaiseyes he loves it ❤
Ok, now they should finally release a more intense version of Edition Blanche, i love that one but it was never a strong one...
You never know. It could happen.
New category idea…Pre Chic… young, soft, cool on its way to chic but still simple…🤷♀️
Thanks very much -- not at all a bad idea.
My mother still loves the entire Chance line. I appreciate Chanel as a house but ever since covid I can't tolerate any of their citrus notes. So weird.
Oh wow -- that's interesting. Is it only *their* citrus notes?
Yes, as far as I can tell, nasal passages get irritated, sneezing, headaches. Maybe the reactions will dissipate over time.
I really like the original Chance. Have worn the edt for years and now have the edp. Easy to wear and lovely.
I can’t abide Coco Mademoiselle . Far too strong
I wonder if Chance fans tend to avoid CM.
Thanks for watching.
Not avoid so much as find it too loud/ too brash. It’s more in the opium, poison lines. And I like quieter perfumes!
I think that is true. I actually wear CM or Eau Premiere when I want to wear something non offensive but still interesting. I haven't been moved by anything in the Chance line.

HB Rich E Rich🎉
And best wishes from me too.
I like Chance for my fourteen year old daughter I think is a chic and classy perfum for a young lady
Good point.
Thanks for watching.
