This is a manually constructed virtual sound environment using 3D spatial audio techniques.
When sound has been recorded as standard stereo audio, it loses all the information your brain uses to tell you where the sound is coming from. Spatial audio simulation allows us to regain a lot of this information. In this ambience, I have attempted to process, mix and position audio all around you using spatial audio technology to create a more immersive rain experience.

HRTF is a technology used to emulate spatial audio by attempting to mimic the acoustics of human hearing. It has been most widely adopted to allow games to portray accurate positional audio. It is now being used to enrich movie and music experiences via standards like Dolby Atmos.

Could you start trying 9D audio? It would he nice if the lightning and such was seperate from the rain itself which is what 9D would do. So, ligtt rain 9D on a tent? Please if you can try it out!
Why stop at 9D? I think 15D would be better, for now. In 2025 we'll have AI upscale it all to 100D. After that, next stop.... InfiniteD.

Can you specify when you hear it? This is composed from lots of different recordings but I'm quite sure there isn't any voices in any of them.

Maybe its my surround sound but this sounds bad... right?
UA-cam doesn't support surround sound, there are only 2 channels of audio. This audio was explicitly designed for headphones and will not have the right effect on any speaker setups, especially not surround.
