Thank you for the video. I have been questioning my own tactics but you just confirmed I am on the right track. It is always nerve racking for the first time breeding something. I started with veiled chameleons, got good at it. Moved on to leopard geckos, I am currently into my first hatchlings, and now starting to work with my tokays. I Have a few pairs of snakes as well (corns, sand boas, BCI) but they are still small and not breed-able yet. I feel good with my projects and have no intentions of growing any further unit I can say I have mastered what I have.
If you’re able to do so, Please try to get your hands on a Brazilian Rainbow Boa! They’re beautiful amazing snakes! I love them so so much and they’re my favorite non-venomous snake, my favorite venomous snake is the Malaysian King Cobra. Anyways I love your vids and I look forward to more content from you!
Ill definitely take a look into them. Ive been slowly switching all my t5 units from zoo med to arcadia. I think they all in all make a superior product.
You can just use the arcadia 6% forest bulb in their standard Pro T5 with their jungle dawn leds all linked up to one plug through their link cables. The shade dweller is aimed more at crested geckos I use the standard pro T5 on my tokay, green eyed forest gecko, chahoua and leachie as they make them in the 60cm and 90 cm width I need. The shade dwellers are quite small in width if I remember. The mesh will filter the uvb up to about 40% so they actually receive about 3-4 % uvb.
Just found your channel like 10 mins I love it and I live in Manchester nh I been looking for a tokay gecko breeding I currently have 8 reptile 6 leopard geckos and 2 crested geckos but I'm getting more reptile soon
man ima get a tokay does it have to be glass or can a mesh like breeze terrarium zoo med sells is that okay? im saying that cause i knoiw where to get a 36x18x36 for very cheap but its a screen cage
On average, how long can they be cohabbed before they need to be separated to prevent the female's calcium stores from depleting? I understand you have to check the inside of her mouth to know for sure, I'm just trying to get an average number of months they can be kept together.
Hey! I have a really important question- I have a pair of new geckos and, their first meeting- the smaller one, who is believed to be female, due to being fine housed with other females, and a lot other examples of this behavior- they did this strange- behavior towards the new male. I’ve never seen her do this. ‘She’ wagged her tail, and slowly walked towards the male, facing forward with her body pumped up. Is this a sign of a fight of males??? How can I tell for sure,,?? I’m so scared to even attempt due to this behavior again.
I have a tokay called dotty and I always sing and dance to her in my underpants. Dotty are you tokay are you tokay are you tokay gecko Dotty are you tokay are you tokay are you tokay gecko you been bit by you hurt by a tooooaaky gecko. Then she spins round on the glass we both look across at my chahoua shake our heads then start pointing and laughing at my forest gecko. But im not sure if I'd breed woth her though I may find it a tight fit.
I'd love to see your reaction/thoughts to the channel Tokek Tokek! you both seem like wonderful tokay breeders but they definitely seem to have a different perspective on tokay behavior than you.. maybe "perspective isn't the right word lol. just check them out sometime maybe if you're seeing this. I would switch the uvb you have currently to the Arcadia Shadedweller. They are about $50 but so worth it. Much more beneficial for them.
