There I was, in Azkena Rock (Basque country) I have been going to that festival for 17 years for my taste one of the best in Europe and not overcrowded, I invite you to come and meet him and listen to Rock only Rock, in Azkena rock I saw the Crowes twice each one better and more amazing this video is from their first visit to Azkena rock and in Bilbao (Basque country) at BBK Live I saw them again, in the middle of the mountains here it was tremendous like in Woodstock, also alive Near that mountain we go in five minutes I'm there walking I go up every day I like to be on my own and clear my mind, in the Basque country we are very mountaineers, they freaked out with the site why do you have to climb a mountain to access the site and you are in the middle of nature, mountains and trees and if it rains you get up to your eyebrows in mud and that's really cool, they gave a memorable concert, although it doesn't surprise me because the Black Crowes are light years away from other bands....they're from another planet....peace ✌️☮️✌️Greetings from Bilbao (Basque country)☮️
I was there, my first Crowes concert. I wasn't a fan, but I left that concert amazed; I became a fan that day. So much so that I went to San Francisco where they played for 5 nights in December 2010. It was the end of the American tour, and I bought tickets for the last two nights. It was wonderful, at the Fillmore. Later, I was lucky enough to see them again at the BBK festival in Bilbao, and for the last two nights of the tour at the Paradiso in Amsterdam in July 2011, which interestingly were Luther Dickinson's last concerts. I love this lineup with Luther; it was magical. They had some incredible jams. I didn't have the chance to see them with Marc Ford in their prime, which I believe was between 1992 and 1995, or with Jimmy Page, which would have been amazing. But apart from that, there's no doubt that the best lineup they ever had was with Luther. I saw them again at Azkena in 2013. I've been to Azkena for like 17 editions, my favorite festival, but it wasn't the same; I didn't feel the same magic. I like their new album, and I'm sure they still put on a great show live. I think they've returned to the rock of the first album, they are less original, less surprising, less magical, still great but there won't be a brutal jam that blows your mind anymore. I think I was at the last epic Crowes concerts, I mean San Francisco in 2010 and Amsterdam in 2011. Just look at the setlists and you'll understand what I'm talking about, it's not your typical Crowes concert.
@@gommax75, nunca he hablado de Bunbury. Mi paralelismo se basa en la personalidad de ambos grupos, no en las cualidades musicales de sus integrantes. Tampoco estoy diciendo cual es mejor, simplemente destaco la diferencia que marcaron para con el resto de las bandas roqueras. I did backstage security for them at the LA Palladium right before the drummer left, & talked to him for 5-10 minutes (I drum, as well) & he was a really cool, down-to-earth guy.

Non-Fiction: A Tribute to the Black Crowes TBC were my introduction to Luther, I knew of NMA but wasn’t familiar yet. I’m always a big fan of original lineups but if & when the door revolves, it’s just fine when another unique virtuoso fills a spot... TBC chose wisely that time. Nothing wrong with Mr Greene but for my taste, he didn’t fill the giant shoes of Luther OR Marc, but I still have love for Jackie, he’s talented, just not groundbreaking. Too bad Steve wasn’t part of the planned reunion, obviously slim to none are the chances now, he’s a damn fine drummer.
@@MLCDelux Right on. Our "MFF" has said, "when we play Goodbye Daughters, I'm on edge cuz LD BRINGS it!" Yes, Yes he does. Of all the lead players, in the group over the years, MFF being the standout, IMO LD was the second giant.✌

I was in Memphis playing a gig with Charlie Wood and after the gig a friend introduced me to Luther as "a local guitar player." He told me he enjoyed the gig and we got talking. I asked him what he was up to and he said he'd just got the gig playing for the Black Crowes. I still have a hint of green to my skin colour. I was so envious and on top of it all he was a really nice guy. Damn it! ;-) He did such a great job too. My childhood dream was to play with the Crowes since their first record came out. That's as close as I got. X-D

Incedible duo performance on NPR by the brothers and it wasn't long ago - to a kid, they'd seem as awesome as Jagger and Richards indeed in that spot when he had to carry more melody with his voice, Chris immediately did so - yet kept all his cool trademarks.
This is a really good show. Band sounds great. Chris’ vocal is strong, on pitch and clear. Some shows his voice can get a bit ragged. Gorman is killin that kit as he does and Rich’s guitar right at the top of the mix sounds perfect.

Coisa linda esse show! Steve Gorman toca mto. Black Crowes é muito foda!!!!
Their backup singers are the unsung (ironically) heroes of the Crowes. Their shows always sound better with professional backing singers.
