Craig what you have accomplished is unbelievable with the experience you have. The Hushmat from JEGS will definitely make a difference. You need some in the doors. I understand your issue with the headliner, but the JEGS roof heat barrier works great. The wiring harness you laid out and wrapped, a work of art. Heat shrinking the heat shield and covering the hose clamps, love it. Congratulations on the JEGS sponsorship.
you can also put sound deadener sheets inside the door panel, but its really hard to do. i filled every free space on my el camino with it.
Coming along really well, as an owner of two '65 Galaxies the best recommendation I can make is to ditch the Cruise-o-matic for a C6, lowers 1st from 2.40 to 2.46 or you can swap in E4OD front geartrain and get 2.71 and rip out of the hole with a stock engine, readily available shift kits, converters, HD bands and servos, plus it's lighter, stronger, and easy to find. Congrats on Jegs!
Can't believe how far you have come! I remember when the first video of this car like you uploaded it yesterday. Awesome video as usual!!🤘🤘
Have not been this into a channel in a long time. Between you and Omar Ramirez it’s like 64 galaxie heaven. Totally made my Sunday getting an update. Thanks 🙏
The taillights/rear end of this car is what keeps me loving this car. Soo cool
Love how clean you guys did the wiring. Really tidies up the engine bay for sure.
Edit to add - let's be honest, Shawn's truck is gonna be sick. Get that 30" travel, son.
Congrats on all the progress you have made these last years.
I wish I had your energy. I've been paying to have everything done on my 64 Galaxie and getting screwed. Have interior, new bumpers, tank, tires, rims, lights, etc. Spent so much and yours is so much cooler! Keep up the good work bud!
I'm ashamed of myself for not doing any work on my project and just watching you work on yours lol.
Congratulations having jegs come on board it's great to see the galaxy coming along. Looks like I'll be using jegs for some sound deadening for my foxbody
Get rid of the mullet and have a Mohawk. Lol gotta mess with ya, keep up the great work.
Hell of a job on the underhood wiring man, that is clean as hell!
Looking good Craig. Why not just get the dash and door and door jambs painted. Get the interior done how you want it. After that drive it get the bugs out of it and then get it painted. But by that time you should have the body ready..
I have been gone a while, you are moving along nicely good job ! ALL stay safe
It's awesome seeing a young man that has the will and ambition to build his dream car and truck. I appreciate your drive in restoration and keeping old school rodding alive.
Love the progress on the galaxy! And what is the music you were using over the time-lapses? Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing what you do with it!
Make sure you seal the metal (as you did on this one), rust will continue under sound proofing if it's raw metal. Nice work! Getting closer everyday! 😁👍👍💪
Awesome as always! 😄
Love your videos keep up the good work and what happens to the engine for your truck
Keep up the awesome work!
"Actually" and "basically"
Can we have a contest for one of your shirts to actually, basically guess how many times you say actually and basically per one video??
Love this 64 Galaxy.
Good afternoon Craig love that you got the car so far in the last year
Put some on the doors inner quarter area sail panel also behind the back seat for sound dedeadening.
🇺🇸👍. You should put some sound deadening material inside door panels and rear windows especially if you plan on putting AC in the car made big difference for me. 👍
Hard working, astutely driven young man. Your intelligent well thought out steps to your car build are something to be very proud of, keep up the great work as these vids are very much appreciated, Thank you!
Looking good bud!
Congratulations on the Jegs sponsorship 👍🏽
What an awesome car, I love all your rides, dunno which one is cooler… my lil fav is the Fox body! Keep rocking!
Just found this channel and this is easily one of my favorite builds.
Heat gun on the matting works like lucky charm 👌
Wiring job is mint 👌🏼
One awesome parts car lol looking great the progression is so good
You also do the wheel arches and inside the doors.
That wiring looks great
Tell Shaun I said buy a tarp for that truck so it rust a little less I have one on my mustang 👊
We definitely need the galaxie merch Craig
I’ve got bet’s with my friends also, mine is on the 91 bronco I have and daily drive! My buddy has a jeep he is upgrading!
I forgot, what color is the galaxy going again, man it's taken awhile, she's really looking like something keep up the great work
Love jegs great products and fit meant
Finally got my 88 lx mustang back from paint today looks pretty good ebony black ⚫ took 6 months
Looking awesome 😎
Hey Craig you bring something to Fabulous Ford, hope to see you again.
Coming along beautifully. What color are you painting her?
Paint the dash before you put the windshield in! You'll be thankful if you do.
Love the Galaxy!
Any plans on the exterior/interior restoration? Genuinely curious because I really love this car.
It looked like the fuel line was kinda pinched off at the firewall bend to the carb line?
Works even better with por15 on the floor first at least it did for me!
Good Job
Hey I have a 429 and a 427 and a 4speed wood go good in the 64
Can you try putting a big block 460 in the truck would be different awesome
Which galaxy do you plan to keep red one or the white one
Man that 64 will be bad ass When you paint it
Cool bro
more galaxie baby lets go
Can’t wait to see the Galaxy with a full interior and a windshield, than the driving clips would be insane
The upper links should be 70% the length of the lower links
use the banner as a car cover
Looks good, should be really quiet now
Why didn't you start by running that stuff as high up the inside of the firewall as you could get ?
Funny how the parts cars always get the most attention
Happy for you too have gotten the sponsorship, i still wish there logo was juggs rather than jeggs!!that way you could give a lady friend a shirt that points out the obvious..but make her think ur promoting the company.well maybe get a shirt printed jeggs juggs if they make motorbike heads!!!ha ha.snooky pa.💥👍💥
Ya, she's going to be a beaut. What colour Craig?
Cool Galaxie...........
I was afraid you were talking about exhaust when I saw quiet in the title...
Shouldn't this be done after paint?
Kilmat is the best out there right now
Those travel numbers are silly lol. Big dog trucks are barely in that range, it’s not needed.
👍
👍👍👍
I’m wearing my craig909 t shirt next time I make a video on my f100….
He needa practice some welding looks a touch rough
When r u painting the car 🙄
Craig I love the cars especially the fox body an the galaxy but your mullet or whatever you call it has to go it just doesn't fit you a cleancut dude with a mullet wig smh
First
Pro-tip, get more and do the insides of the doors, and the insides of the rear fenders, then bite the bullet and pull the headliner to do the roof. Those big, relatively flat, un-beaded surfaces, act like drum heads.
Man, you got that right !
You also don't need to cover every square inch, a few inch strip of deadener on flat panels handles 98% of the deadening.
Pro tip #2. You don’t need to cover every square inch either. 25-30% coverage of each panel is sufficient to work as a sound deadening material.
Even if he just put a few pieces on the inner door panels and covers a quarter of the area of the roof and a few pieces on each inner quarter panel it'll get rid of that drum head resonance.. im going to do the floor pan on my wife's hyundai as with the winter tires on its worse than having mud tires on a truck. It's very tiring to drive long distances.
